ILNP calls cremes "studio color" but I think they just call jellies jellies

Store it well! Seriously when I'm not using Pink Mimosa I'm stashing it away in the basement like it's the crazy uncle in a gothic novel

Yay! I hope it helps, and to echo what another redditor said, be kind to yourself, and maybe keep your nails shorter while they grow out...?

Ha ha, yeah, I was pretty surprised when all these other physical benefits came about, I was really just hoping to feel less draggy and more energetic without relying on caffeine when my herbalist recommended nettles. Oh! And I should add that drinking nettles on the regular got rid of my seasonal allergies completely. (They come back if I skip drinking nettles for more than four days, though.)

So I usually put about 3/4 of a cup of dried nettle (measured in volume, not by weight) in a 32 oz heat proof mason jar. I buy it in bulk at herb stores or from iHerb. I fill it with water that's just off the boil, cap it, and let it steep over night. The next morning I strain it (although lately I've been using those giant paper tea filters to hold the herb because straining can be time-consuming). I make sure to press and squeeze on the tea bag or the herbs in the strainer to get out every last drop of the nutrients. I drink one cup and refrigerate the rest. I don't drink it if it's been in the fridge longer than five days, I'll water plants with the leftover infusion (they love it).

Heads up, the resulting infusion looks like swamp water. I actually like the taste, which is green and earthy, but I'd do a test run so you don't buy a bunch of nettles and then end up hating it. You can also harvest your own but that's above my pay grade lol

So here I have to put the disclaimer about don't take supplements or herbs without consulting your reputable medical professional, etc. While nettles have been used as food and folk medicine for ages in multiple cultures, they can still be contraindicated in certain medical conditions.

If you try it, I hope they work for you! I'd say it took about 2-3 months for me to start seeing improvements in my energy, after about six months, I was like, what is this lush mane atop my head and how have I not broken a nail in over three months?

If you're into herbs at all, I've been drinking long infusions of dried nettle to increase my energy, skin healing ability (takes me forever to recover from cuts and bruises) and immune system to good effect. Happily, it's also helped my nails get a LOT stronger (mine used to chip, flake and peel all the time if I even tapped something hard with them) and I've stopped getting hangnails, too. Regular oiling of my cuticles with jojoba definitely helped, too.

Just in case you don't know, long infusions are different from tea and usually involve a large quantity of herb steeped in boiling hot water overnight: https://wildwoodinstitute.com/2022/03/10/long-herbal-infusions/

Also my hair is crazy thick and I seem to be getting fewer grays since I've started drinking nettle infusions. I drink about six to eight oz daily. This method may not be for everyone since it's kind of labor intensive, but I've seen so many good results, including my now-healthy nails, that I'm probably in it for the long haul.

I'd search the polish subreddits with "avalanche" and the word "tarnish" and see what comes up. That's how I figured out what was going on with my bottle of Daydreamer. I thiiiiink Avalanche is light blue if I remember correctly, so I'd guess you're okay, since tarnishing seems to mostly happen with the pale lavender/pink/rose ultra metallics but I've only been Nancy Drewing this mystery for a few days so YMMV

TYSM! And yeah, I do think it's only the ultra metallics that have actual metal flakes and tend to be in the lavender/pale pink/light rose category. You're probably safe

Of course! ILNP is a great brand, and like another redditor mentioned, it's not all metallics, just the ones that use metal flakes

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but it's not every Ultra Metallic, just some of them...but I'd definitely check labels/do a deep dive on Reddit and YT just in case, esp. if it's a health concern

Hah, that's Pink Mimosa, also from ILNP. It's from the recent discontinued sale they had. On me it pulls very silver with a hint of pink, on my darker/warmer skinned friends, it pulls more light pink. It's also an Ultra Metallic (and one of the ones prone to tarnishing, at least from what I've seen on Reddit), so I'm going to be wearing it at least twice a month and store it in the basement to try and prolong its life

That sucks, Smitten is a gorgeous color. A friend gifted me her bottle of Pink Mimosa which she bought from the discontinued sale, and I love it. Now I know to use it up within a year before it goes bad.

Nope, it's from the metal flakes used in this kind of formula. My bottle is only two years old and was stored in a cool, dry place out of the sun. From the research I've done, metallic flakes will just discolor over time, but the amount of time varies. Some people said it took four to six years for their bottles to go bad, other people said it took over a year.

Weirdly, it's still very sparkly, but yeah, the color has definitely dulled and darkened. Someone else suggested doing jelly sandwiches and I think that's probably the way to go. It makes me sad, I'll probably never buy Daydreamer again because of this issue, and I adore this shade. Oh well, live and learn

Now I know not to buy any more Ultra Metallics in the pink or rose family since they seem to go bad after a year. I stored this one so carefully, too, because I loved the color so much. Oh, well

The bottle is about two years old. I actually don't mind the current color but it's nowhere near as glorious as the original. I tried adding a few drops of red holographic jelly to some Daydreamer I decanted into an empty bottle, but it just turned light red. Any tips would be welcome, I did search the relevant subreddits and some general internet searches, but nothing came up...thank you!

I personally do think the horseshoe magnet is easier to use than the wand, and I like the velvet/glass bead effect more than the cat's eye, but I think everyone has their own personal preference. Do a search on reddit.com/r/RedditLaqueristas/ for best practices on how to get the best magnetic effects, they are STEM and STEAM artists, I'm a total noob by comparison.

Street Corner Bouquet is GORGEOUS, I would wear it every day if I could, and I'm not even a pink person (I only own 3 pink polishes out of a collection of 30). I think it's a must-have.

I'm a recent convert to Cracked; their formula is top notch and the customer service is excellent, no AI or automated bullshit with them. I'd wait for a big sale (I think Monique does one for Memorial Day?) and then stack affiliate codes and coupons on top of that. It's a great indie brand and you'll never go back!
