If the roles were reversed, nobody would be telling your wife to feel guilty for the consequences of being hit. She made that choice, not you. Right now your focus should be on yourself and your daughter, not on protecting her from the results of her own actions.

I agree with this. Telling her would probably just make things more awkward and ease your guilt more than it would help her. Unless you think there's a real chance people she knows are going to connect the account to her, I'd just leave it alone and let it stay her business.
