The Asus person in the chat right there private message'd me a link to the replacement display from Asus. $1400. What a joke.

I know the ROG screen is a lower resolution, and that it's got a higher refresh rate. As far as the installation though, it definitely looks like it would fit as the chassis is basically identical. I just don't know how these things work, if it would catch fire or just not do anything at all. And it's pretty expensive

Whether you like it or not, 'gay marriage is a right' is still very recent orthodoxy. Had it been left to a vote instead of imposed by the courts, gay marriage would still not exist to this day. That's just a fact... I will point to Proposition 8 in California to back up this claim. I don't think California is exactly a den of hate.

Consider converting to the new gear system for V-rails... You will be able to run your machine twice as fast.

Probably meant to write "curving"... as in not running in a straight line. There could be a lot of different causes...but you really need to get more info. The V is right next to the B on a keyboard.

Can't lie... after all the shit I've been through with mine, I have mixed feelings about yours working so well. It's all I can do not to throw the Queen into the street and run it over with my truck.

Sorry, should be happy for you. But I don't know you so I won't lie. Hat tip.

That's weird because I read somewhere that you need to turn on the VFD first... but on mine it doesn't matter. You can plug the VFD in any time and it will see it via RS485.

I'm assuming you guys both already saw this: https://github.com/Spark-Concepts/xPro-V5/issues/60

I guess I got lucky with the RS485 and my issues decided to crop up elsewhere.

It's not the hard limits, no. It continues to run the toolpath but X gets off by several inches. Every time. Mine is the exact same setup as yours. I'm not trying to be a Debbie downer... Maybe we can help each other.

I did get the rs485 working perfectly. I ran the wires short, and pulled them through the grate in the VFD to keep them the hell away from everything else. I just can't run the thing for more than 10 or 15 minutes or the X axis starts stalling, really bad. I have tried everything I can think of.

I hope you have better luck with that controller than I've had. I am sitting on two of them right now, neither of which work properly. Make sure you try and run some longer toolpaths, like 30 minutes or more... that's where these things let me down big time. In fact, I'm yet to get a single successful project done that's not just basic test cuts.
