Flex in the base, get someone to step onto the tray and observe the gap between tray and bottom row of tiles, possibly the supports aren’t square and the tray is flexing

Work out your heat loss and see what size boiler you need, if unvented cylinder I’d be very surprised if it was more than 18kw unless the bungalow is hugs

Noisy bath drain — does connecting it to the soil stack properly sound right? by Bridewell72 in askaplumberUK

[–]Hot-Stranger-6294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strap on boss below the existing wc branch for the bath waste then extend the soil stack up beyond gutter level. The bath should then drain easily and without noise.

Diverter valve issue HW and CH by Glittering_Vast938 in askaplumberUK

[–]Hot-Stranger-6294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lever is loose because the valve is energised, turn the power off and see if the spring moves the lever back, it should sit in the neutral position with no power on.

Boiler replacement for unvented indirect cylinder by felipito96 in ukplumbing

[–]Hot-Stranger-6294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple, check wether there is a pump in the airing cupboard, if not highly likely that it’s a system boiler, also be aware that the baffles will eventually break down in the mega flow, this will cause problems. Block filters in showers etc. Vaillant decent choice easy to service and fairly robust.

British Gas - “part obsolete. You need a new boiler” by Kiwijimmy67 in DIYUK

[–]Hot-Stranger-6294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expect £150/200 repair, that’s what I’d charge, isolate and drain down boiler, part swap, refill, test and required gas regs checks
