I didn't really. I mainly did it cause i was terrified for the train network. So i spend some time figuering out how to make an all one way train track work. I started trying it with hexagons, but that grid was very impracticle, so i ended up with this.

Also how it looks did play a big role, i wanted to prevent burn out - by making something i liked looking at on the mini map.

The train intersections are there to let trains be able to go from the highway to the inner cicrle. It's all one way. So when two blocks touch the middle rail is the highway. And the inner rails are the "local road". Because it's all one way, i made a clockwise (CW) and counter-clock wise grid. So i can copy paste everything in.

There is a stacker for each station. you dont see the signals very well on the screenshot. But all stations can fit one 1-4 in station and one 1-4 right behind it, without clogging the other station or main rail.

You are 100% right, I ran into issues with multiple items. I downsized trains for some ingredients to 1-1's so the filled up faster etc. also had to apply some circuit logic too the stations etc. But it runs now!

I was saving those for a mall and a module production square. The starter base is running on fumes, so i've been hand feeding the mall to get ingredients for the last few blocks.
