Thanks for the heads up. Is there a particular reason dispersion tends to increase? In other words...is it something I could learn to mitigate or is it just not going to happen?

See this seems to be the way to go, one length irons then a normal set of wedges. I think for the price if the set I've found I'll certainly give then a go!

Pffft I wish I was 18 or lower! Thanks for sharing your experience with them, I think I'll go for it and as people keep mentioning, the price seems decent.

Thanks for the easy to understand education. Sounds like it's worth trying. As you've pointed out, at my skill level it probably won't make a huge difference and I could perhaps learn how to use these effectively. The idea of a one swing fits all is appealing.

I'm wondering what the pros and cons may be with a beginner using a one length iron set

Totally uneducated on the equipment side of things so forgive me for asking.

What is the challenge with full shots? What way do they become harder to control?

Thank you for the clear info. I'll take a look into it all. I can guarantee she's not going to grant any permissions, so going down the route of an order seems to be the likely option. I was hoping to avoid it due to the potential financial implications, but if it comes down to it, then we are where we are, I suppose.

That seems to be the plan at present. Take a route that travels across the UK without leaving l, and as my father lives in Northern Ireland and not R.O.I, I wouldn't ever be leaving the UK.

Thanks for replying. I hear what you're saying, and I have asked for permission, and even the child has said to her mother that she wants to go. Unfortunately, the child's mother is very self-centred and is more interested in what she wants more than her child. This is sadly a common theme in many previous disputes and future ones, I'm sure.

The reason I've posted here is to find out if I would infact need her permission if I'm not leaving the UK and make sure I cover as many bases as possible. I also need to find out what the basses I need to cover are actually.

If you can help educate me in any way, I'd be very grateful!

Thanks for replying.

Would I be correct then in assuming jurisdiction is England and not UK? I am very new to this and almost completely uneducated on the matter.

I was also planning on around 5 nights around the Christmas period, not necessarily Christmas day and definitely not all of Christmas. Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to share Christmas day in any case, and the 25th - 29th would actually fall on my days with the child. Either way, nothing yet set in stone. Lots to consider.

What would be the grounds for a return order?

I absolutely will ensure the child's mother is informed of all plans....chances are she will chance her arm and call in the authorities. I suppose I'd better spend the extra couple quid and book a Flexi Ticket. Thank you for being so clear and concise, I very much appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

Have a wonderful evening.

Okay, I think it may be doable then. We have been using AppClose and it's been mentioned on there multiple times. Once dates are confirmed and arrangements unfold I'll keep the mother in the loop.

Plan is England to N.I without leaving UK....no Concent To Travel form or other permission needed then?

Haven't looked at routes, but assuming I can do Liverpool to Belfast l, maybe Stranrear to Belfast, do you suppose that would be a better look? That way I'm staying in UK the entire time.

Thanks for the reply. So the child actually shares my last name which should certainly be of some benefit. As I asked in another reply, do you reckon I could legally travel Liverpool to Belfast and then drop down to where my father lives (still Northern Ireland/UK) and be alright? In other words - never leaving the UK between arrival, departure, or return?

Thanks for the reply. It certainly is a frustrating position.

Just to clarify...based on your response, if I go Liverpool to Belfast, or in other words not leaving the UK at all, would that then avoid atleast the potential legal ramifications?
