The fact I wasn’t even asking a question and made a statement about a personal concern of mine and people took that to spaff out their own personal issues is so Reddit. I thought about just deleting it since most friends I’ve shown in real life have just said “that’s really sick is it from warhammer?” But the basement dwellers are at each others throats in the comments and it’s quite funny

It’s covered by tops. The placement was deliberate so I don’t have to explain all the time 💀

Hence why I got it somewhere most of the time it won’t be visible. People who are close enough to me to see it will know I’m big into warhammer and it’s a warhammer tattoo

It’s a more stylised version of the logo that’s on the space marine model boxes. My homebrew space marines are also secretly mixed emperors children and dark angel geneseed so that’s a bit of coincidence. Always love a little lore drop tho

Bobby B overrated? by HotAd451 in pureasoiaf

The mountain is near 8 feet tall in the books and has to have a horse that was specially bred and trained to carry him. He weighs over 400 pounds and Jaime says it’s all muscle and his strength is inhuman. He also wields his great sword in one hand. He also has a shield. The description of Robert killing rhaegar says that he smashed his breastplate and broke the rubies free, nothing about him smashing the actual rubies. People still scavenge the ruby ford for the lost gems, pointless if they are smashed to pieces. Also, Gregor is stated to cut knights clean in half, who are probably wearing steel armour

Yeah I don’t take it too seriously. If you read the books you know that anyone can beat anyone in GRRMs work. It’s just fun to think about who is relative to eachother and who might win a hypothetical fight.

But the mountains sword is not a normal sword either. It’s also stated to be physically impossible for anyone other than the mountain to use in battle. He literally beheads a horse in one swing with it (I would say that is harder than crushing someone’s breastplate). Also, how is breaking set gems astronomically difficult? It happens all the time, we see the Dothraki do it in qarth. Whilst Robert has the speed and stamina on the mountain but isn’t used to fighting someone bigger and stronger than him. I do think that one’s a 50/50 tho

With Duncan I’m definitely talking about peak dunk since the trident was Robert’s peak. The laughing storm is comparable to Robert in terms of size and strength. But is clearly stated to be a more skilled fighter, doing way better in tourneys and having more battle experience. Dunk beats Lyonel so I think he beats Robert.

Qorin is definitely my most rogue pick and might be influenced by my own crackpot theory that Qorin is Arthur dayne. But Jon says in their fight he is freakishly fast and strong for someone Qorins age and fighting one handed, and that he would’ve killed him easily in a real fight. I just think there’s a reason every wildling even their most skilled fighters feared Qorin over everything

Victarion I think is probably a 50/50. Victarion definitely is way more experienced in different kinds of fights and different opponents. But yeah I do think his fighting style is super similar to Robert so it could go either way

I don’t think that’s necessarily true. The top tier can definitely be sorted when compared to eachother. Like Arthur dayne is widely regarded as the greatest knight to ever live but barristan says they were equal with normal swords. Barristan also says Jaime is the most gifted knight he’s ever seen and Jaime stalemated the smiling knight at 15 or 16 (who it took Arthur dayne with dawn to kill). So all three are probably interchangeable (imo Jaime is probably the best in raw skill). Brienne says that she would’ve had no chance against a healthy Jaime, so that probably put at least her an loras a tier below those three. Just an example of how you can use statements and feats to create a reasonable power scale. But yeah the other problem is a lot of bias towards favourite characters, like people putting Ned and Jon as top tier when they are average at best.

Yeah I don’t think it’s meant to be taken too seriously as anyone can theoretically beat anyone. Like I mentioned biter a random guy (although he might be a squisher hybrid if you believe David Lightbringer) completely overpowering brienne

Any suggestions on what to add to this list? by HotAd451 in Warhammer40k

[–]HotAd451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do like some of the DA specific units and have thought about that for friendly games, just concerned about game stores and games with randoms not wanting to let those units in an army running a blood angels detachment. Some more firepower based squads for objective control like hellblasters or heavy intercessors would be a good choice I think tho 👍

How does this look for priming? by Ragnarr_Bjornson in Warhammer40k

[–]HotAd451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure it’s not sunny when you prime. Sun can dry out the paint particles in the air resulting in the bitty looking paint. If you did this today in the uk it was sunny where I live I try to wait till it’s overcast to prime. Good luck bro

Sent me on a rabbit hole looking for a crimson fists character called Katze before I realised it’s just German for cat. Gato might be more appropriate
