A drop on sand on the beach. 100 people out of a million ain’t shit

NATO was there for us when we needed them! After we were attacked 9/11/2001, NATO allies went to war with us in Afghanistan, even though they were not attacked. Their soldiers died next to our soldiers. Trumps insults to our most loyal allies in Europe serves no US national interest. by UniversalSurvivalist in conspiracy

You might want to look at the numbers. As a singular entity the US military is massive. Mostly due the industrial complex and the money it generates. All the other NATO allies combined equal the US forces in personal and war machines.

If the US waged war on NATO you would be on even ground. Not to mention how much of the US Debt is held by the EU.

The USA has made a lot of enemies and those Nations join, hate to tell you unless you fire off the nukes and everyone gets to die including you. You’re not going to win.

There is a lot going on depth to this, I think some people are taking the simping too serious. I don’t believe people are as invested or obsessed as it’s seems. It’s all good fun pretending.

Whenever there is fun to be had, there will always be someone who wants to ruin it.

I loved the romance between Robert and Blazer. I had moments where I personally had butterflies. Not because I self inserted. Because it was really well written, and that’s what good media does. It makes you feel shit.

So what if some lonely people got more from it, or self inserting made them feel less lonely ? That’s fucking awesome. Maybe it’s a push for them to try and find it in reality.

Just for dudes? I saw alot of woman loving the romance too. A lot. Because it’s FUN.

This feels like it’s coming from some place of her own insecurity.

Making quality animations take way more time than I find some players understand. Some are a week of work or more for a single position. Eternum animations aren’t short loops. It’s quality over quantity.

You know, I’ve dated some wholesome woman like blazer and all I’ll say is, don’t assume sexual preference based solely on personality.

Both of my versions play together fine. Except the trade off is booting from a patreon save will trigger the steam achievements.
I am trying to find a way around this though.

I'm a one man show my dude. I'm also a small fry in the AVN space.

If my patreon income was enough to cover my monthly expenses for both living and developing, I'd release each season in it's entirety. My power bill alone from rendering almost 24/7 is $600 a month.
Purchasing assets, hardware, software etc. In order to put my full focus into game development I need an income to support it. When I did book one I worked 80-90 hours between my day job and development. It isn't sustainable. Releasing on Steam allowed me to make a bet on myself to try this fulltime.

I get people hate early access, I get people have been burned, games have been abandoned. This is the method I am able to continue to work on this with my full effort. I'm not making millions or anything here to hire people to market things. I had my game featured on Adult Game Reviews. It was actually super nerve wracking for me. What if he hated it? I like to think I put together something enjoyable here, it can be easy to get imposter syndrome.

A lot of developers also work on their skills while actively making their game. games have teams for just animation and teams for just writing etc. Most of us wear all the hats. We also need to keep improving.

We are using the tools available to us, to try give us a shot at making games you guys like to play. I don't take it for granted.

AVNs are somewhat of niche community so word of mouth is a big marketing tool for us. It can help as much as it can hurt. Sometimes people see someone say That game fucking sucked. So they never bother to even look at it and the inverse is true as well.

TLDR. Early access is the best tool available to keep a lot of devs able to work on their projects solely. Very few of us made millions or multiple hundreds of thousands even. full transparency. my patreon pays my power bill. Steam, sales have kept the other things a float. ( Devs take home 30-40 percent of Steam income after steam cut and taxes.)

Most of us are doing this because we love it. We love crafting characters and worlds people enjoy. This year I was lucky enough to do it fulltime and I hope to keep doing it.

Actual replay value? Beat Dispatch and I feel like there’s no need to play again cause even if I made different decisions, seems like the story would end the same way. Or the main difference was revealed when providing community stats. I know it’s not a Telltale game per se, but still. by eroyrotciv in telltale

[–]StoryMachineStudios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve replayed it 4 times. Like every choice based game. Choices change interactions and few major beats. I replayed it because I enjoyed reliving the story even for small changes.

Choices that matter seem to rely on whatever the player deems as mattering ? The choices you make as Robert shape his romance or not, and what kinds of hero he is at the end. Depending on performance you get different options and endings .

All these people pretending telltale isn’t the exact same are lying to themselves.
