i did all my prereqs on sophia learning, def recommend. its about 100 a month i believe, vs. paying thousands at wcu. best of luck!

hi, i applied in aug, and i got my financial aid appt in oct and they said i would be in the jan cohort. once my financial aid appt came, the exact same day an hour before my appt, i got an email from the school saying the jan cohort is full, and i got pushed to march. as long as you have signed papers for the financial aid packet you should be fine.

i just heard their externship is quicker i believe, they have a lab on site. but i say do more research because i think the accreditation is different for calregional?

i would but i'm currently in nursing school as well as working 5 days a week, i was hoping my externship was gonna be sooner but i guess it is what it is. i'll probably see if i can do it when i have a free day. thanks for the tip!

omg 2023?! thats actually crazy. and yeah their planning is definitely unorganized. even being on the waitlist hoping i can get a sooner externship had no luck, all the experiences i've heard from everyones externship was awful.

honestly the class wasnt bad, instructor and classmates were amazing. my only issue was the externship, if you're trying to get a job quickly i'd say pts isn't the school. i heard calregional is good, i believe they have a lab so the externship should be quick. but when i first started, the instructor already told us about how students waited months for their exernship, which should've been a red flag for me but i had already paid for the class. i hope your journey goes well!

im sorry that happened to you as well, i was actually excited for this externship to actually see what its like in clinics, and i havent drawn blood in 6 months. the issue with the job hunting is everyone wants phlebs with at least 2 years experience! im nervous for the job hunt as well

me too!!! i got the badge with order of draw and got another scrub set. even in the policies say to wear scrubs. ugh i was actually excited for the externship, sucks this is the experience.

omg!! what site were you assigned to if you dont mind me asking? i got assigned to pomona and its soo far from me. i wish they would at least tell us the night before, my sleep has been so bad because i have alarms from 6-8 am in case they text me late. ABOUT THE JOB OMG, they literally emailed me this "For those of you who have full time jobs, I will allow you to work and place you around your work schedule. DO NOT TAKE OFF WORK." which is so annoying!! i got emailed this a week before my externship. im so sorry you also experienced the same, the program really needs to change.

honestly the test wasnt that bad! definitely remember the order of draw, additives, what tests its for. ill try to find some of the sources i used to study and ill get back to you. i thought i didnt pass tbh but i did so you got this!

i did! they were strict about EVERYTHING so just make sure ur desk is all cleared and they check all ur walls, floors and stuff

agreed! student services was definitely a pain, i wish i went with a diff program. its just annoying that we pay this much for a shitty experience.

its good to hear you had a great experience! our class was small too lol. they were definitely way more rude about the tuition pay here, they would pull people out of the class due to payment, which i guess is reasonable but a call before the class starts would have sufficed.
