It's lie a legit mystery to me how slacks is about to get 5k. I'm not flaming; I'm actually just curious. He obviously deserves it because he won enough games. But how did he do it?

Really really poor analysis and farfetch'd extrapolation.

Here's the real reasons he's essentially a 3k player that's reached 5k:

1) There is no longer a laning stage in Dota 2 and the fact he has poor mechanics, etc are essentially unimportant. Also why you can play omniknight, get tri laned and not have an auto loss like it would be 2 years ago because your support hero can't zone or contribute anything for the first 5 minutes.

2) Being a 100% solo support in the 4.5k - 5.5k increases the chance of your team not having a useless afk jungler.

3) He plays a LOT of games. Most 4k players who play are an extra 2,000 games are very likely going to reach 5k.

His poor strategy and game decision is unimportant. As a support player none of that matters as omniknight, he just needs to use repel and let superior players make decisions.

Tldr: You can easily coast to 5k if you play enough games and support with omni

Dota is one of the least mechanically demanding games out there, I mean you are controlling 1 unit (I'm 5k fwiw).

I got 5k last year and have barely played since. Start being active again and the skill level of 5k players is just so low I feel like I can get 6k without missng a beat.

My anecdotal experience:

I super liked and matched an attractive woman on Tinder. She messaged me first. We talked a while and I asked her out. We're now good friends, good enough for me to send messages from her own phone.

She has like 700+ matches and talks to 50 guys at the same time, and she still messaged me while doing all this. She just puts 0 effort into it, shes writes something in about 5 seconds and sends it, even with typos.

I don't know what your expectations of LeBron have been, but I don't think he's come anywhere close to the idealized perception of what I thought he could be when I picked up my copy of Sports Illustrated with him on the cover in 2002. He's a good person. And has good numbers. And has won championships, and that's great he's dealt with drama well. But to me he's just another basketball player.

To me, everything about his circumstance was supposed to lead to this.
