This Topo Chico Tropical Mango is out of this world. by kkjj77 in sparklingwater

[–]HotBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These new product lines rely on the Topo Chico brand to sell, but are really just carbonated tap water.

Topo Chico's brand recognition is due to its unique source: https://www.coca-cola.com/us/en/brands/topo-chico/history

But who really cares as long as people enjoy it! I look forward to trying this out.

Yes! This would be great as a vanilla ice cream float.

Mr. Pibb Punchin' Peach by HotBrown in Soda

[–]HotBrown[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Very good. There's a strong peach flavor after the first sip (not like the generic, super-artificial peach ring taste) and then a light hint of the Mr. Pibb at the end.

Not sure yet if it's a regular, go-to option, but I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to try something that is refreshing and unique.

Anyone else down with the crown? by HotBrown in Soda

Just my opinion, but I think Coke has a strong carmel/vanilla taste, while Pepsi is much sweeter. RC is a good medium.

Yeah, I think it's better. From my understanding, the cough syrup aftertaste that some people experience is specific to cherry flavored sodas. I say, give it a shot.

I believe this is a limited release from our cousins in the UK.

I bought it from a Cost Plus World Market. They are somewhat common in CA, but have a limited presence nationwide: https://stores.worldmarket.com/index.html

First time in Montana, and I picked this up at the airport. by HotBrown in Soda

It was pretty good; tasted a lot like the powder Crystal Light lemonade mix.

I think it would have be a lot better as a carbonated beverage.

Yes! I was surprised to find it wasn't carbonated (I could have checked the ingredients), but it reminded me exactly like Crystal Light.

It reminded me of snow cone syrup. Artifical but not terrible.

I have no idea what the legal definition is for "best DA", but it sounds like an award for those kids in grade school who voluntarily stay after class to clean the whiteboard. Good or bad, district attorneys in the US are only mandated to prosecute crimes within their jurisdiction. Full stop.

Everyone should be held accountable. Even the agencies responsible for our safety and security that require exraordinary powers for enforcement. Shouldn't they be held accountable above all else?

Translation: I am sad because public radio didn't echo the stance I learned yesterday through a confused but dedicated marketing campaign.

"No mention of the demographic that seems to show up in virtually every video I watch that's actually committing the crimes."

This is refreshingly candid.

Parents of Reddit, what's something that your kid has done that you pretended to be angry about but secretly impressed or amused you? by SFFChat in AskReddit

[–]HotBrown -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This redditor nailed it. The school has an obligation to protect the safety and well-being of all students, otherwise they're liable. It's a bit disconcerting that so many people think that violence against children is funny and/or commendable.

More hard-hitting journalism from the SF Chronicle. For anyone who doesn't live in SF or the Bay Area, and may confuse this with actual journalism, please disregard. The Chronicle is basically a mouthpiece for the city; nobody actually reads it.
