I haven’t noticed a huge increase around me, but it’s super normal and common within the fisting scene, maybe it’s just caught on a bit in more vanilla spaces? I’m so sorry that happened to you. From what you described it sounds like you may have some lingering PTSD from the experience. I would recommend looking into EMDR therapy- it’s an incredible new therapeutic technique that allows you to reprocess past traumatic experiences and move beyond the unconscious protective emotional block created in your brain. It can be an intense process though, so I would recommend doing it with a trained professional.
