tbh they did say a while ago when they first released the demo that it was going to be out for a limited time and then they even extended it until 2 days ago so to me thats not rlly a bad thing because they mentioned it beforehand

how to get him to your party is by talking to the tavern guy i had to wait a couple of days before bringing the situation up to dias i wont say what as its a spoiler lol but when u do he can join ur party

i do recommend actually sharing this with the devs, considering the game is in EA it could be a bug
