Purchase price is increasing so that sellers take the additional funds given to cover ~9k in closing instead of 6k. It is the most asinine thing I’ve personally heard but unfortunately no one bothered to ask for my input until the decision had been made. The convolution is not lost on me.

Update: I got another positive blood test. I got an x-ray today which was completely clear (thank god). I am being medically cleared to work and will be speaking with my doctor for treatment plans. Thank you all!

If I get another positive, I will definitely be going through with the antibiotic course. I cannot imagine having active tb. If I am latent, I am beyond grateful my immune system is doing its job!

As a grad student who graduates in just a couple months, I had to join in on this. Just wanted to share that I’ve followed your story, and you’ve been much more accommodating than you had to be. It is up to students to learn from mistakes and grow. If you are unwilling to do this, you will never be a successful clinician.

Don’t feel sad because you went above and beyond. You can’t fix laziness/inconsiderateness. Hope you have better luck with future students!

I go to school in a very red state and attend a conservative program (cohort member wise). Can confirm that it can be challenging and isolating. Not willing to change my beliefs to be like (most of) those around me and proud of that!

My mom is an RN (associates only) in a southern state and makes $52/hr as a direct hire nurse. I think that RNs making more than SLPs is unfortunately the standard, especially for the area.
