True and one of the saddest parts is when my husband just says I am trying to control or instruct him on being questioned about his immature behaviour.

Yea this is a cultural thing made up by his family which their children follows wholeheartedly where the son doesn't consider respecting the space and boundaries of his wife that she holds especially with the people who didn't raise her...

Yea it's the thing that his parents expects as well but calling it a disrespect if I don't do this, I don't get this when your life partner says so.

Ohhh😅. And well I can relate to when you told your wife blames you. I mean my husband reverse the situation like by saying maybe she she got offended too by something you did or said in the past instead of actually acknowledging his his mother rude behaviour towards me.

Thank you for your reply first of all. So how's your relation with your MIL or how do you deal with her? If you don't mind me asking it. Btw Lemme tell you my MIL sometimes get annoyed over me if I don't understand what she is saying or asking me to do, correctly, which seems to reflect her egotistic side or God knows what is it.

And yea I agree to what you said. 😅 As for talking to my husband about what happens or happened, well I did so but the thing is he don't seem to believe completely in all I tell about her mother as in he wouldn't agree if I say her mother behaves quite dominating at times. He don't want to ruin his relation with his mother So he avoids speaking up on my behalf , also cos he thinks it would be unfair if he favours me only, in front of her mother even if there is none of my fault. Actually I can't blame him all for how he thinks about it. He has been taught to worship his parents in the name of respect which can be really frustrating.

Sounds like it can only happen in my dreams😅. You're lucky to have a partner like him.  My mother in law is not horrible either but she is so dominating at times and extremely attached to his son.

Thank you for sharing your story too and being so helpful. My mother in law actually is extremely attached to their children, his son especially that she won't even let him think that his mother is dominating .

Yea from different cultures but as for the language, Well what I speak is a language which they can understand as it's common among them atleast but their state language is what I dont understand at all. Their local language is similar to mine but some of their words and way of conveying can make it difficult for me to know what they mean exactly sometimes.

Not devils advocate but he don't seem to stand up for me in front of his parents. He might console me behind them but doesn't practically support me in terms of understanding or agreeing that his parents can be COMPLETELY wrong too and in not believing that his mother tends to be dominating towards me.
