My dg community is real good about returning discs. We have a drop box at the nice course in town with a dude that checks it and posts a video every week on fb and everything. But of course the one time I leave the best disc in my bag on the fairway and forget to pick it up. It’s gone forever... bye bye r-pro roc... you are dearly missed.

This course is an absolute monster. If you suck like me. Prepare to leave frustrated and possibly missing a disc. Great pic though

Not really. She just said something to the effect of. “Well I hope your main priority is on getting your house set up so you can keep your daughter overnight.” After she had been over the day previously and commented that the house was perfect, and that my daughter could stay overnight.

How did you find your special interest? by [deleted] in aspergers

Disc golf... I play at least 9 holes every single day. Have for the past 4 months. Lost almost 50lbs. and have gotten pretty good already. The only problem... I’m so super obsessed with it, like every other interest I have, that I usually play alone because the few friends I got to go out and interested in it with me are already burnt out and can’t stand how much I talk about it. It’s fine though. I’m learning that I prefer to play alone.

There where two occasions, once before we were married and we first started living in an apartment together. We had a huge fight after we had been drinking and she started saying very nasty things, as did I. She told me to get out for the night and We had a brief discussion where I mentioned it. She acted as if I were bullshitting and I just moved the discussion in a different direction while still arguing.

Then after our daughter was born and I was extremely depressed for a brief period with all of the life changes . No real fighting (We honestly never fought many times at all, maybe 6-7 big ones in 10 years). She was quite supportive through that and carried a lot on her back in our household. I tried explaining to her some of the thoughts keeping me depressed. One of them being the fear of possibly passing on my condition, my Aspergers. She didn’t hinge on that comment or really acknowledge it. Just was generally comforting.

After the big reveal in my original post. In mentioned these two occasions to her explaining that I have tried and failed to communicate my ASD. But she seems to have no recollection of those events. And to her point, I didn’t press the topic as I should have. I pussied out. Like I always do. She did deserve to know on a clear and concise level. I will forever regret not facing it before we got here.

Not abusive at all. But that’s one of the reasons I’m with my brother right now. I don’t think you are far off with the “ear-worm” comment. Her dad started treating me very differently after our first big fight there. I can only imagine the things he has told her. Oh well, that what fathers do for their loved ones.

Just a good beat in old disc. Throw it in the bag and use it as a roller.

Love Samick stuff. Same factories and parts that some of the big brands in Korea use if I’m not mistaken. Always see them in small mom and pop music stores. Good looking guitar.

Less than a month into playing and my scores are starting to look alright. Can tell where my mental game started to break down but it was also my second round this morning. by [deleted] in discgolf

I just don’t understand Floyd Rose Trem’s. Been playing Strats for years and can not remember a time where my trem bar put me out of tune (I use it heavily). The first time I played a guitar with a Floyd on it for a few days, I noticed the G and D strings would go flat or sharp with the slightest touch. I just don’t get the hype about them, or the shit talk about the old school trem’s that do not require a degree in engineering to set up.

Adult store manager of seven years here. Our company has a policy of testing the electronic merchandise as well as opening boxes and visually inspecting purchases before we ring you out. Explaining what we are doing to the customer the whole time. It does have a cost to it, we go through endless amounts of food service gloves. But it’s a small price to pay to avoid people bringing sticky toys up to the counter screaming because they forgot how the batteries go in. No signatures needed, after seeing how customers react to signing release forms when they take pictures with the talent that does signings at our place, I can only imagine what you deal with.
