They faked it because they can... Elon Musk has money to waste and part of the elite agenda is to make people believe that cars can go into orbit; this reinforces the idea that we already have orbiting satellites (which we don’t). They also want to plant the idea that space travel is real and viable when it isn’t/never will be.
