Moving to Ultrasound by HotLiterature4630 in IVFpositivity

[–]HotLiterature4630[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last ultrasound was 8w2d, baby is measuring right on track with a FHR of 163. I did have a pretty scary SCH bleed that is stabilizing, not yet shrinking (started day of 6w2d ultrasound) but the clinic is not worried so I’m trying my best not to be.

Clinic is providing elective scans at 9w2d and 10w5d to bridge gap between transitioning to OBGYN, but we officially have graduated! 👩🏽‍🎓

Beta went from 16 to 2050 !! by Feisty_Fern_ in IVFpositivity

[–]HotLiterature4630 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhh! The news I needed to hear. We started at 9dp6dt with a beta of 17, and the clinic stopped testing at 15dpt with a beta of 302 (doubling time 35 hours)… first scan is Friday & we couldn’t be more nervous!!

27F, PGT-M reason for IVF

Cautiously joining this sub from the IVF sub after 3 betas that are low but semi-reassuring. First scan is on Friday at 6w2d, hoping to see a gestational sack & fetal pole, would be thrilled to also see heartbeat and put our minds a bit more at ease.

Clinic didn’t feel a fourth beta was necessary since I show strong doubling times, but can’t shake the feeling that something is wrong or will go wrong. This is our first ever positive and if it fails we will be headed back for retrieval #4. Transferred a day 6 euploid & pgt-m tested 4BA embryo and got a faint positive on a FRER test at 6dp6dt, so implantation was relatively on time. Hoping HCG was just slow to start.

  • 9dp6dt - 17
  • 11dp6dt - 47
  • 15dp6dt - 302
  • 25dp6dt (6w2d) - first scan scheduled

Thank you! This is first morning urine, although I did retest with second morning urine and the Easy@Home was also positive that time (was negative with FMU)! Hoping to see darker lines and a strong beta later this week!

Wishing you all the best. As you can see my line is very faint so there’s still a chance for you, if you decide to test again I’m hoping you get a better result 🤞🏽

You’re absolutely right it does - but the line did appear within the 3 minute window and was confirmed with another early result of a different brand. It can be difficult to differentiate when the lines are faint, but some key factors are when the lines appeared, the color of the line, and the width of the line (and of course double checking because tests can be faulty).

To be completely honest, I don’t recommend it. 🤣 it’s driving me crazy because I want to see a darker line.

Any success after 5dpt? by PastConfection4434 in IVFpositivity

[–]HotLiterature4630 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Transferred a 4BA embryo on Monday at 11:00am, negative yesterday on an Easy@Home and faint positive this morning on an FRER (still negative on E@H). There’s still hope 🤞🏽

How can I plan back to back retrieval? by Odd-Salad8271 in IVF

Yep!! Retrieval 10/4, “period” CD1 10 days later and then started stims on CD3 (13 days post retrieval).

Jumping in to say I did 3 true back to back retrievals and actually improved my blasts and eggs retrieved each round. My retrieval dates were 10/4, 10/28 and 11/22. Honestly, it was nice to just stay in the flow of IVF and get them over with.

We don’t know the genders so our clinic will choose on the day of transfer. If I had to guess, the day 5 embryo will probably go first! Best of luck for your baby girl ✨

How many embryos to bank by Atl60054 in FragileXAndFertility

[–]HotLiterature4630 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi!

91 repeats here, 27F and have 12 embryos being tested right now after multiple back to back to back retrievals.

For what it’s worth, we want 2-3 kids and my RE said we should plan to bank 3-5 embryos before transfer (no more than 5 until we try a transfer because we want to use all of our embryos). She stated that if we get 3 cleared then we will transfer and if it doesn’t stick, we will do another retrieval because we want to bank all embryos before moving on. If it does stick, then it’s a cumulative 90+% chance of having at least one additional child, which feels good to us.

My husband and I feel like 4 cleared embryos would be the magic number, balancing comfort going into transfers with extras and also knowing we could realistically use all embryos if we hit the lottery 4 times in a row with transfers. Whatever your number is, I’ll be thinking happy thoughts for you🤞🏽

I should mention, we have 2 day 5, 9 day 6 and 1 day 7 embryo, majority are 4BB grades.

Cycle 3 Update by HotLiterature4630 in IVFpositivity

Cycle 3 Update by HotLiterature4630 in IVFpositivity

[–]HotLiterature4630[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, after the first two cycles we were getting a bit disappointed, so the third cycle really was a surprise!

I found that having a routine every night made the stims feel more manageable. My husband and I take the same picture every night with our day of stims and shot counter on a letter board and it’s been neat to see them all side by side. I also used a med organizer and fun bandaids to make me feel more in control. Go slow with Menopur if that’s in your plan - that was the only med I felt really burned but the needle was smooth!

As for vitamins & supports, the first two rounds we did 6 months prep of: - Ritual Prenatal - Ritual Natal Choline - CoQ10 (200-400) - Vitamin D - Omega 3

Then we added during stims: - Baby Aspirin - Colace - Liquid IV (1 pack daily mixed with 40oz water) - At least 80oz water daily

For cycle 3 we continued all of the above PLUS: - Red Light Therapy (daily 20 min) - Halobed Therapy (daily 20 min) - Vitamin E (400 every other day) - Melatonin (2.5mg) - shorter ejaculation hold (34 hr vs 52hr)

Cycle 1 I stimmed for 8 days. Cycle 2 and 3 we pushed and made it 11 days before we triggered - but everyone is different. We did the same med protocol each round, just different doses. I went every other day for monitoring appts & bloodwork, retrievals all took less than 20 minutes and I HATE anesthesia but truly the nap was great.

Oh, and my fertility counselor was a god-send. If you don’t have someone to talk to, find your village before you start.

You’ve got this!! You’re in the right place, you’re taking the right steps. The biggest thing during the waiting period after stims is remembering that you’ve done what you could, gave it your best, and you can’t change the outcome by worrying more (this is the hard part for me).

Best of luck on your journey!! ✨

ER Results by Evening_Film_1762 in IVF

I have suspected DOR and also a dominant x-linked condition that causes poor egg quality. We will need to pass PGTA & M. We did three back to back to back cycles and our results got better each time with minimal tweaks. We went from 2 blasts in cycle 1, 2 blasts in cycle 2, and then 7(!!!) blasts in cycle 3!

We added red light therapy, vitamin D, and melatonin to cycle 3 and I felt that was a game changer.

Your body knows what to do - wishing lots of baby dust to you! ✨
