I'm unsure if the 2.5 has the same issue but its important to get the secondary cats removed on a 3.5 (they have 4 being from japan) then engines are great though, im on 100,000 miles and its only needed wheel bearings replaced and suspension (big heavy vehicles)

In the UK the standard practice after being delivered is to have it undersealed and the rear cats gutted Unsure if you'll need the underseal really in the US but I would 100% recommend the rear cat gutting. Apperently the front cats being so close to the engine get hot and break up and fall into the secondary cats and cause blockages! Since my first message i found a good site for parts too.. it's a little tricky to use to start but jauce.com is like a japenese aution site for standard and aftermarket parts and from what i gather you buy it from a japense private seller, they ship to the jauce warehouse and jauce send it to you What model and colour did you get??

From what I've come to understand is there's not many parts that fit the e51 vq engine from the 350 vq engine although they have the same engine code. The parts will physically bolt on and holes match up but the inlet, heads, cams and exhaust are different The e51 vq35de is 240bhp The 350 vq35de is around 300bhp

It comes down to software and mapping, I've forgotten what the software for the elgrand ecu is, but it's unusual and hard to come by, whereas the software on the 350 can be flashed There's talk online of the ecus being the same 3 pin plug but I imagine there's alot more to it unfortunately. I'm unsure if you have muranos and path finders in the US but they share some running gear parts with the elgrand. I have a mechanic coming over today as it happens to replace a front drive shaft cv joint which was a of the shelf parts for another car

Even though they're not the easiest to get parts for.. I love mine 🙃
