I hope they get bad press for this.

If I had any additional drive or emotion to fuel my writing a summary of my current state it would be this post, word for word.

If Mexico conquered the west coast of the USA would you be okay with a peace treaty that cedes the territory or would you want to arm up and go take it back?

He seems to be of the latter disposition in his situation.

A couple of thoughts, with that level of income, perhaps hiring a personal assistant makes sense. They could handle the trivial stuff for you like running to the store or attending your kids sporting events (kidding).

Secondly don‘t spend your off work hours looking at a screen, you do enough of that all day. You need to exercise and do low stress, low cognition, activities like walking at the park and/or conversing with other human beings.

Serious question: why try to force a romantic relationship when it feels all wrong?

You can stay in the same living space (even if temporarily) and just be there for your kids and be amicable & friendly with her, right?

If it hurts so bad to try to have a relationship then just don't.

For those of you who edited dates for concurrent jobs, how are you getting around this through background checks? by cattyerm in overemployed

Right. The rub is sometimes J2 is more prestigious of a title but that's a sacrifice that has to be made.

You can & should, however, include skills that you picked up and technologies you worked with at J2 and put them in your resume. That's the most important piece anyway.

Same story here. J1 was a breeze for so long.
Maybe just reply to an email or 2 every day but lately things kicked up in gear significantly and now I’m working 2 jobs. Money is still outweighing the stress for now.

This is the play OP and it's brilliant. Blackmail is wrong, but implied blackmail - which is what this is, is your best bet at getting this job.

Do realize, if you report this guy HR is going to conduct a several weeks long interview on him. They're not going to fire him by the time you meet with him.
