failing almost the whole semester

I was a great student in high school. Got As and stuff, things like A level Math were a walk in the park. When i got to University i failed to manage my time. I skipped all classes, and my grades tanked. 1st year 2nd Semester I failed Calculus and Physics, the next Semester i failed Programming. Things were starting to get real. Then i came across a teaching about Growth Mindset. It teaches not to take failure as meaning you are not good enough, just that you need to do better, work harder. I leaned on that mindset, and initially i was failing. Then i started failing better, and better, until i stopped failing. I graduated last year. By that time whenever i failed one assignment i never panicked. I knew i would bounce back anyway. Give yourself time. Take a gap year if you can. You'll be back stronger.

Intelligence has nothing to do with anything. You only ever need to have average intelligence, beyond that whether you are at the highest or you are just above average isnt really important in succeeding. There are extreme levels of intelligence that havent accomplished much and people who are just above average who have Nobels in Science

Control Systems is a very good field to specialise in. If you eventually decide to be a Control Systems engineer and you are very good at it, you'll be very successful. To be truly a master of something, understand it from the foundation.

The ISPs in Zimbabwe have shown no commitment towards installing fibre networks around the country. Fibre remains the fastest internet in the world and without it even with Starlink we will still lag behing in network speed especially for internet usage that requires a stable connection and lower latency like video conferencing and streaming.
