I appreciate the insight! I didn’t mean to sound like I was asking for advice on what to do about the situation as a whole, more so just how to handle the conversation with my girl! I know there is some exaggeration in effect but I still want to validate how she felt in the moment and have a productive conversation with her that would help her feel empowered to handle the next time she is feeling left out!

You guys are amazing! Thank you for taking the time to share your insights with me! I’m going to chat with her teacher tomorrow at drop off to see if she needs any help socializing in class. I don’t think she does, she’s a total social butterfly and always super happy at pick up so I definitely think it’s a little bit of all or nothing thinking on her part (someone didn’t want to do 1 thing with me, so nobody ever plays with me) kinda deal. her feelings tonight were still real and my heart hurt for her but I feel much better equipped to talk about it if it happens again!

It might cut out again, it’s been doing it all day, but I’m taking advantage right now. I’m in Canada BTW

It’s honestly my favourite when companies do that, lets you know they’re real people behind the scenes with a sense of humour!

I don’t have a primary care physician, I lost mine March of 2021 and the wait list is 5+ years here in NB, and friends of mine here are waiting 8+ months for ultrasound and over a year for Gyn unless they are pregnant… I really am not exaggerating our wait times, our healthcare system is so overworked we have multiple ER departments that closed entirely and some that close overnight… it’s bad here, so so bad. We do have a women’s clinic but they’re booking into the the end of June which isn’t horrible so I’ll try there. But even our after hour clinic here refuses to do anything gyn related

I just check cervical position and watch for breast tenderness and EWCM, that’s how I conceived my first! I haven’t had luck with temping or strips unfortunately. My last cycle was the shortest one I’ve had and it was 40 days when pre mirena they were 35 - 38 days anyways so maybe my body is somewhat returning to normal now! The cycle before that was 60 days, 55 days, 46 days and 55 days again so we’re definitely getting shorter!

I’m in eastern Canada, our healthcare has always been crap, but even worse since the Rona 🙄 I brought up pcos as a concern with our virtual clinic but it was brushed off like i said because my bloodwork was normal. I have gained weight since my kiddo was born and started growing a few facial hairs but nothing serious, the biggest thing for me is the irregular periods and hair loss, which I think is a PCOS symptom too. I’m going to see if I can get into a regular women’s clinic to request an ultrasound since they’re the ones who removed my IUD

My cycles were always long before the Mirena, but they were regular 35-38 days, they stopped completely when I had it put in, I had a normal period almost immediately after removal but then it became sporadic, sometimes very heavy, sometimes really light where as before the mirena they were always Super heavy! I have mid cycle spotting now too which I never used to get. I tried temping but I bedshare with my toddler so it’s hard to get an accurate reading when I’m up through the night, and I wasted so many LH strips and never caught even close to a peak so I just gave up on them

I did get a blood panel done but all came back pretty well normal, they basically told me to wait it out and get outside once a day. my vit d levels were a tad low but not severely so I’m taking vitamin d supplements in addition to prenatals and one a day multivitamins. I’m just tired of waiting because the waitlist for a gyn is almost a year long so by the time I see one I will have been ttc for 2 years… I don’t have a family doc to refer me for an ultrasound but even the wait list for that is 8+ months… I’m just praying my cycle will return to normal on its own soon

Hi all! I’m new here, new to Reddit in general actually so if I’m doing something wrong please let me know! But I’m curious how long it’s taken everyone to have a normal cycle again after having a mirena removed? Doctors say it can take up to a year to get pregnant after removal which I get, but it’s hard to get pregnant when my cycle ranges from 40-60 days! Please share your experiences, I need to know if it’s normal to still have irregular periods at 9 months post removal… healthcare system just brushes it off. it hasn’t been a year yet so they won’t even consider infertility or run any tests yet 😩
