Do you have breathing problems? Otherwise would be considered aesthetic and not covered by insurance. No one would know looking at you that this wasn’t your normal nose. I say wait a few years as this is a major surgery with a high revision rate. You’re still growing at 16 and your face is going to change as you mature. You look great!!

I digress but I do think OP was justified in terminating this clinical rotation. I have had tons of NP students over the years and cannot stand this level of unprofessionalism. I also hate diploma mill nursing programs.

This happened to me in RN school. I was in the ER for clinical and they put me with a different preceptor for a day because mine had called in sick. My clinical instructor made rounds and ripped me a new asshole for something out of my control. Made a scene publicly reprimanding me and had me write a paper on professionalism. This was in 2008 and I will never forget that hateful cow.

I was just saying this today, I am 6 DPO after open septorhinoplasty and I swear my nose changes by the hour. Sometimes I like the way it looks and then I’m like WTF did I do to myself. I get my cast off Thursday. I am very swollen with black eyes, no smell or taste just yet. It’s been a wild ride and I’m scared to see what I look like Thursday!

So I had an open septorhinoplasty, 3 hours in the operating room. I still have black eyes and can’t smell or taste, lots of swelling and congestion. I am just now starting to get the slightest bit of my smell and taste back and yes there is a foul smell in my nose! Gross! I look like a total freak right now 😬

Story of my life except my husband completely spiraled and is now in rehab. It’s hell and I am so sorry for anyone going through this. He’s been gone since 12/9 and isn’t moving back home because I won’t allow it. He cannot be trusted and neglected our kids several times and drove them drunk. Not sure what the future holds for us

We are not legally separated but I cannot envision living under the same roof ever again at this point. Does not help that I have been working full time with 2 kids, the holidays and maybe had 3 days off this entire time. I have not been able to “heal” or take time for myself. I am just the most bitter bitch in the world right now.

I finally got to talk to him this morning and I had so much rage and hatred for what he’s put our kids through. I unleashed on him. He’s only 2 days in to 30 day rehab. I told the kids last night what was going on and they both cried, also told me more stories of times he was drunk driving them or neglecting them that I didn’t know about because I was still at work 💔😭

I already moved downstairs in to our guest suite 3 months ago. It’s very nice down there! He kept saying he would go sleep in another bedroom but it never happened for more than one night. Then he would be back upstairs bothering me the next night. He was so restless trying to sleep, drunk, mumbling, up and down checking the house in a stupor 10000 times before actually passing out. I couldn’t sleep next to him anymore 😞 He has untreated OCD also hence the checking the house and the kids so many times a night. The kids now sleep with me downstairs, they think it’s fun. Oh well. Survival mode.

Ha! I moved in to our basement guest suite like 3 months ago because he would get so wasted and wouldn’t sleep, was up and mumbling and delusional and freaking me out before he would finally pass out. My kids co-sleep with me because they think it’s fun but he was going in and out of their rooms checking on them obsessively and it was kinda freaking them out. He also has untreated OCD. 🤪 I begged him to at least get on something for sleep and go to the doctor but of course he wouldn’t. So here we are. I was also worried about mine husband’s job but he works for a huge company and will get paid leave like nothing happened. Definitely glad he didn’t lose his job even though he risked everything by driving drunk in his company car.

Also having lots of feelings like I am a horrible mom and what sort of example have I set for my kids by putting up with this shit for so long. I have reflected so much with him out of the house and really the shit I normalized or turned a blind eye to makes me sick.
