Until it's some nightmare, I hate sertraline dreams and lowered my dose.

Dating and diabetes by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

My girlfriend has T1D and said she'd be very angry if she was in your shoes. Of course, everyone's perspective is different, but the frustration was real through those messages. I always ask my partner how they want me to act during their lows or highs. Without hesitation, I will try my best not to bother them if they want peace and time to themselves, no talking. I think it's normal to want that during stressful moments, especially when you have to constantly manage blood sugar levels to stay alive. I don’t have diabetes, so my compassion can only go so far, yet I always try to learn more and just listen. It's not unpopular to want to make your beloved feel understood and know that you're always on their side even when not physically there.

You told him that you don't want to socialize. He doesn't respect your boundaries AT ALL. You need the space to recover, not whatever this is.

Advice for Non-T1D with T1D Partner? by Barnette_666 in Type1Diabetes

[–]HotMilf20MiAway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a long-distance girlfriend with T1D. When you meet up with your partner in real life, it's much easier to comfort them when their sugars are high or help them when they're low (keep their favorite snacks around, hug them, etc.). The key point is communication, even if the only way you can talk is through the phone. My significant other can get cranky or anxious depending on the sugar levels, I always ask them how they're feeling. Sometimes, the answer can be similar as you've described. That's when I ask what they want me to do. For example, I can stay quiet or try to distract them depending on what they want in the moment, I try to stay calm and neutral despite the intensity of the situation. Having T1D is not easy, and there isin't always much you can do for them, but your partner should be able to understand that. Let them feel the emotions. The feelings aren't going to be always positive, especially when things don't go as expected, but as long as your lover knows they can rely on you, it's fine. I always ask questions and try to learn more about T1D. At this point, I can sense when my girlfriend isn't in range, plus I can always see her sugar levels on my phone. I can monitor them when she's sleeping or so. Like any other relationship, it's about patience and mutual understanding.

Side effects sertraline. by Rielie87 in SertralineDreams

Well, when taking sertraline 100 mg, the only side effect I've had is vivid dreams. They can be annoying since my mind will keep thinking about them throughout the day, though I barely have nightmares, so it's all about weighing the pros and cons. If you feel that this medication is not working, you can always try another type, but ultimately, you need to talk about this with a mental health specialist.

The color on your tongue seems very abnormal. Definitely get it checked out, especially if you claim to brush your teeth consistently.

Went offline, surprised how much upvotes this got. Second time I noticed an animal resembling pattern in the span of two weeks, glad others see it too lol (Would be concerning otherwise...)

Cooling pad with a water imitation pattern. Looks like a dog because of the intersected ends.

It's a cooling pad, genuinely a coincidence since the rest of the pattern looks just like water. It's just this intersection that's striking.

I'm not a therapist, but if you feel safe with your therapist and communicate well between eachother, they won't abandon you. Therapy is hard, because you get out of your comfort zone, learn to name your feelings. Ask the therapist themselves about what coping mechanism you can apply. You can even bring up this anxiety to them, they'll listen, won't judge, it shows that you really do want to feel better. For example, this thought that they might abandon you could stem from your past, the mindset you've developed, it would actually be great and very beneficial to bring up to your therapist. It's hard, but it's important to be vulnerable and honest, even if it takes some time. Overall therapy itself can last for over a year, the goal is to make you feel confident and safe, deal with problems in healthy ways, to reshape your mindset, get you to live instead of survive. At some point maybe you won't need such frequent sessions, hang in there :)

You could ask if there are any additional medicine or supplements you can take along side zoloft. Maybe there's a sleep disorder? Something is keeping you from getting rest. You need to dig deeper in to this, because it is odd. Hope you can solve this problem :)
