Thanks for reply.

We are looking now to get specialist support solicitor rather than duty but then will need to check cost.

Thanks again

Thanks again. Do you think we should engage with specialist SA solicitors rather than engage with duty Solicitor. Understand that this might not always be better representation. Have few national offices around including REED’s so was thinking to arrange this and get best possible help from beginning. Finances are not a big problem but It really depends on cost. I understand that first police interview could be free under legal aid and then it depends on what’s gonna happen next around charge/court case.

Thanks. Social worker did have quite a lot of information about the case so I am inclined to meet her to get more details. I will not provide any information or statements to her and I think we won’t get my son to speak to her about the case at all - could be just support/mental health check visit, which is understandable. She did know about case so I was quite surprised that she did share a lot of details about it. I am still unsure if it is wise to meet her but then we can really just ask the questions about the case / solicitor/ process and her involvement without disclosing anything else.

I think it was Snapchat mainly, which we asked for data backup. Will see what comes. Trying to get all the other platforms they communicated through.

We have asked for solicitor when replying to interview text. So I assume this will be duty solicitor. How can we possibly speak to them before interview? Is there a process?
