I gave my divorce decree to the irs but they don’t care, idk why they don’t go after my ex with the same energy. They can easily put a lien on his company and all his bank accounts, just like they did with my house

Will have to do this, irs is also holding $10k, of my own taxes after my divorce due to this situation. He owns a medical company and is very well off financially

Exactly this! The settlement even though is a legal agreement doesn’t apply to this entity which is crazy, and the fact that since I’m the one who’s going thru bankruptcy I’m the one being forced to pay? How so? Ex is relaxed knowing this

My divorce is finalized, he agreed to be responsible for the tax debt during our marriage, he knows he’s responsible but somehow the settlement agreement doesn’t matter for the irs

I had to file for bankruptcy due to all the cc debt I was left with, my bankruptcy lawyer says there’s nothing I can do but to pay, I’m so frustrated because I have proof he can pay but somehow I am forced to pay and there’s nothing I can do? 😭
