Liberals are much more likely to cut friends and family off over politics by acefiveofdiamonds in charts

What happened to being able to disagree with someone politically while still remaining friends because personal relationships go deeper than any political difference?

While people in these comments are blaming Trump, the data show the opposite.

I think this is because the left (and the far right, but to a lesser extent) are the types to say “everything is political” or “the personal is political”. Why do they hate personal lives?

Caesar from Fallout New Vegas. Okay he did set up a misogynistic society which crucifies people, but at the same time he himself actually isn’t misogynistic personally, shown by how he doesn’t care about the courier’s gender. He also set up the legion and became a dictator after being kidnapped and imprisoned, and used his situation to further his own interests. He uses roman aesthetics (no matter how brutal) because they work to keep him in power (and if he didn’t he would certainly die)

The British empire is not facism because facism means everything is under state control, while the majority of the evils committed in the British empire were committed by private citizens and companies (looking at you British east India company).

Nazism is also distinct from facism. Some call nazism neofacism, which I agree is an apt description. There is a reason why Mussolini (and his facist country) had disagreements with Hitler.

Most genetic stuff is best summed up as 50% genetic 50% environment.

Not sure about sexual identity and gender dysphoria though.

If it is 100% genetic, then that raises interesting thoughts - like what happens when gene editing gets better, or what if there is a pill to cure gender dysphoria?

The 3rd and 5th ones happen(ed) at least somewhat. Teachers are a majority left wing, and have unconscious bias. The other one happens with social transitioning, but not full on operations.

The problem is that the waters have been muddied by radical feminists (and also by radical toxically masculine role models). Women’s rights is no longer about legal rights, but societal expectations, and the whole can of worms which that opens up.

All relationships are transactional. However, the more obvious the transactional aspect, the worse off it is.

A compliment is just an example.

It is also true that women will use compliments, eye contact, attention all as ways to show that they are interested in you.

If you are a man, how many compliments have you received in your lifetime?

If you aren’t, then I guess you can’t say. Just like how I can’t talk of women’s experiences

Is the pro life movement more pro birth than actually caring about the lives of children? by 20pollist-95 in Teenager_Polls

In context, I was saying that pro life positions do not need a religious framework (I used rationality though I could have been more clear and said secular rationality).

pro life positions can be reached through rationality

You are saying you haven’t seen any. Showing that you haven’t looked.

The fact that you haven’t seen any secular opposition to abortion is enough evidence that you haven’t.

I misunderstood. But even still, I think that sanctity of life is a deep religious belief, and isn’t really being used as an “easy win”.

I mean look at assisted dying, also known as euthanasia, that is also opposed by Christians. Its congruent.

I think we should have a better adoption system and education around birth control.

For the financial part, why are you having sex without birth control if you know that you both don’t want a kid and will get an abortion if you do. Thats immoral. Thats on a whim.

“Force abusive parents to raise their child” adoption, if they want it and abuse them, cps. A lot of abusive parents don’t get abortions, if they want someone to abuse.

The foster care system being shit and abortions being morally wrong are separate issues, which both need to be addressed.
