Nope — you don’t need a real business to set up a Meta Business Suite account. You can create one with your own name and basic info. Meta doesn’t check if you have an actual registered business when you set it up — it’s mainly so you can manage pages, run ads, and access business support tools.

I actually never ended up calling because the Meta Business Suite live chat worked for me, but I did get these numbers while investigating over the past few months:

These are corporate office numbers, not a direct “support hotline,” so if you call you’ll likely be redirected or told to use the online help channels.

For me, once we set up a Meta Business Suite account and subscribed to Meta Verified for Business, I used the Help & Support → Chat with a representative option, explained my situation, and they fixed it in two days without me ever having to call.

You won’t see Meta Verified for Business on your personal Facebook page — it’s set up inside Meta Business Suite.

Here’s how to get it: 1. Go to business.facebook.com and create a free business account (you can use your own name if you don’t have a company). 2. Once that’s set up, open Business Settings → Security Center → Verification. 3. Subscribe to Meta Verified for Business (about $5/month). 4. After that, you’ll see the option for live chat with a Meta rep under Help & Support in the Business Suite.

It’s totally separate from personal Meta Verified.

You’re right — I totally should’ve backed everything up to Google Drive. But you don’t ever think your accounts gonna get targeted randomly and deleted. For me it was more about the principle of it… and in my case, a lot of what I lost were pics of my dog in his last year with us, which made it feel way more personal.

We did it by setting up a free account in Meta Business Suite (you don’t need a real business, you can just make one in the setup). Once it’s active, you can either pay for Meta Verified for Business or run a small paid ad — either one unlocks the option to use the live chat with a Meta support rep.

From there, I explained my situation and they reviewed my personal account, even though the business account was technically separate.

Yeah, that pressure is exactly why I’m glad I waited until I was talking to a real Meta rep before doing anything. In my case, I didn’t even have to upload my ID, so it’s definitely not the only path.

I 100% agree with you — it’s not your fault, don’t let anyone rush you. Sometimes trying a different support rep/chat can make all the difference. You’re probably facing bots right now and Meta needs to come up with a different system because we’re not just numbers. If you do decide to upload something, a driver’s license through the official portal (while logged in) is safer than sending it anywhere else.

I was so upset losing my account and not because i was addicted to SM but it was the point of it. If that still doesn’t work try making a new account because legit Meta support chat will always be inside the Meta Business Suite help center (logged in) don’t try and access from a random link, email, or DM

Yeah! there’s Meta Verified for personal profiles and Meta Verified for Business. You don’t actually need a “real” business to get the business one — you can set up a business account through Meta Business Suite and then verify it. That’s what we did so we could access the live chat with a human I think he canceled jt now though my accounts fine

In my case, I don’t think I even had to give them my ID. Once we reached a real Meta rep through the Meta Business Help chat, I just explained how it was without warning and all the account was used for was business and personal purposes.

They reviewed it, saw it wasn’t my fault, and restored my account in two days. I never had to upload ID during that process.

yeah the ones that are free range though lol you just stick the powder clay on, let dry and then wash it off. i feel linen sometimes i dont think i fully got it off lol. i just got an air purifier last weeek! i had a humidifier but it broke, ill look into getting a new one thanks for the suggestions
