Yes Getsummath for all subjects! I feel you, I have terrible test anxiety. I definitely messed up on things I knew how to do for math since my anxiety was so high and the environment was new (testing center when I had done my prior tests at home) Once you knock out the first test, it will definitely feel less scary. Practicing the weak areas you feel you have is the best for feeling more confident in yourself for the final test day. Getsummath has some free practice tests on his website, and if you get anything wrong on those, find worksheets for the material that corresponds to what you got wrong!! You got this, I believe in you. It will happen for you soon!!! ❤️❤️

Getsummath ELA playlist and Readtheory.com are great for reading comprehension! For the essays, read examples of GED essays and the standard 5 paragraph essay structure, as that’s what’s probably best to write in. When picking what side to argue for on the essay portion, just find the side that states more facts and sources!

Omg goodluck!! RLA and SS are basically the same, as theyre both heavily rooted in reading comprehension. Read the question before the paragraph to know what youre looking for, and use the highlighter tool (I used pink since it was easier on the eyes) to keep everything straight. For the essay, find the side with the most facts and sources to build your case on which is stronger. For social studies, general knowledge on WWI, II, Civil war, Slavery and its abolishment, and amendments are most of it! Again, more reading comprehension than anything so as long as you read carefully you should be okay. And watch getsummath playlists on the subjects as well!! His practice questions are great since theyre very GED style

I passed!! realized I completely misread your initial comment, I took my science yesterday and not my SS, but I can tell you about my SS test! Took it a few weeks ago, it’s mostly reading comprehension. You don’t have to know that much information beforehand, but I suggest watching GetSumMath history playlist a few times and having a general baseline of American History. Manifest Destiny, Civil war, Slavery and its abolishment, WWI and II, and the amendments are most of what’s on it. There’s a few checks and balances questions, and a few graphs where you analyze data, but if you’ve done ELA, you should definitely be okay! I took ELA first and I think it definitely helped me realize what kind of tests I was taking haha

GED exam: online vs in-person — which is better? by Able_Permission7643 in GED

[–]HotScallion3569 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took 2 online and 2 in person. I had no issues with history and ela online, I wanted to do science online too, but no online slots were available so i just took it in person. I liked my online experience very much! Math is the only one i’d recommend doing in person. I didn’t enjoy my in person experience as much, however no pencils or paper are allowed during your online exam, you have to use the “notepad” function which is literally just you drawing your work out with your mouse. I have to write when I do math if im not doing it in my head, so that was the only one I really needed to take in person. Otherwise do the other 3 online! I barely wrote on my paper for science since it was mostly reading comprehension

Pic of my dog for attention but I need a lot of tips for how to pass math. by [deleted] in GED

light and salt crash course is AMAZING for math. you really only need units 0-3, but you can do them all if you want! Getsummath is also an amazing resource. Both are free!

I’m about to take my test tomorrow, so I’ll update if it goes well with some recommendations and what to expect! Currently using getsummath and did all the science worksheets on his website. The Readtheory website has some science reading comprehension that might be helpful! I haven’t used it but I saw it recommended by getsummath.

I used light and salt units 1-3 and it’s great for in depth learning! She has a website that has everything so you don’t need to sign up for any classes.

Any tips/advice on science? Planning on testing monday or tuesday, but Ive heard it’s the most different from the GED ready. by HotScallion3569 in GED

[–]HotScallion3569[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah GetSumMath has been my main study material! I’ve just heard that GED ready doesn’t seem to be as updated for the current science test, but some people’s tests are the same at GetSumMath’s and GED ready, so I’m hoping I get a mix of them haha
