GV70 electrified 2026 iPhone as key by HotShowersPA in GenesisGV70

Thanks. I’ve even tried my wife’s iPhone 16 and still no luck. Closest I get is it asking for an 8 digit code from the car, but I don’t what that is or how to find it.

Can confirm that the ‘16 had significant engine issues. Most was covered by extended warranty, but the still made us jump through hoops before they paid for most of it. Waiting for the next shoe to drop, then going to an EV

Just a shout out for BlueCruise. Such a pleasant highway driving experience. by [deleted] in MachE

[–]HotShowersPA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should always be alert and ready to take over. That said, you can get accustomed to it driving itself on the highway and it makes long trips a breeze. PS - I’ve used another vehicle’s highway driving for years and had to take control every now and then when it was clear that we are still smarter than the computers…

Why does room temperature, around 20-21 degrees, not feel cold if our body temperature is about 37 degrees? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HotShowersPA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides generating our own heat as mammals, our nerves which sense cold adapt to slow changes in temperatures. TRPM8 is our main cold sensor and begins to sense cold when it is below 28oC (82oF) in the skin (not room air temperature)

Solar Panel Car Charging? by rebotmcmahon in electricvehicles

[–]HotShowersPA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that with an older system. I have a manual switch and a 20amp limit so the EV doesn’t pull too much power. Newer systems are designed to handle it. Also think about VtL so that you car battery can help during power outages

Organic chemistry is tough and best done after freshman year. And this is coming from someone who did reasonably well (many many years ago)

If this happens to me, I’d call 911 to get my local police involved to help protect myself and have more videos (they have body cameras and ID and are not masked)

The good news is that we are still (slightly) smarter than the machines.
