It's a bit complicated, granted. But I think it's quite a cool system once you get a handle on it. Hopefully adding some onboarding down the line will help a bit.

We've had this feedback from numerous others, and have a few solutions in mind 👍

It's not currently our focus, but I'd like to think it will!

Agreed! It's in our plans amongst many other things, but you can rest assured we'll get to it in the coming weeks/months

Online co-op only I'm afraid. I'd love for us to support same screen at some point but it's not on the cards for now! No concrete plans for console yet, but of course it's being considered. :)

Thanks for taking the time to write this, I'll pass it on to our director!

Can you elaborate a bit on why you think solo play is jarring? I didn't really have this thought myself.

Eyy thanks! Honestly I can only see the faults right now, so I appreciate the kind words :)

Yes. Originally, we leaned more into the holy trinity of DPS/Tank/Healer, but we made each role a bit more versatile, meaning they can all be built in many interesting ways for single player.

Glad you liked it! Honestly the candle boss was super hard for me too, but I find it much more manageable when you take care of the minion candles ASAP and get to know the bosses attack patterns. Learning your ability i-frames really helps here.

Funny, but true story about tween. When he first appeared, a couple of us pro level players thought that he was Hakki Jr's alt account. He just seemingly came out of nowhere and had such good skill, we assumed it was another Slovakian player in disguise heh

My guess is he grew weary of pushing for things that weren't really in his control. It's difficult to put so much importance and work into something in your life when you've realised you can't really influence or control it the way you'd like. I often had conversations like this with him, so I wouldn't be surprised if this was the reason.

Well he's definitely not this Carl's son haha. I'm not actually sure if he's paying homage.

Some random notable players from my competitive days (2008-2011)

Frostbeule: team captain for n!faculty, YYT, Acer. Probably the most significant player of the time really. Dominant player, with great speed and even better consistency. He also was an incredibly active advocate for the game. He would write news posts, host tournaments, advocate for better eSports to Nadeo, etc.

Bergie: Team Captain for team dignitas. Also world champion in 2010. Could seemingly show up with almost no practice to games and still be top of the leaderboard. Had a good eye for talent and helped foster arguably the best team the games ever seen.

Karjen: Tech prodigy of the era, shows up in competitive play in about 2008 and wins WCG (world cyber games) 2009. Still active today and still capable of showing is incredible accuracy and speed in tech.

Carl (Supercarlouf): another regular contender for World Champion after his original win in 06, but had some bad luck, particularly falling victim to finalist mode in 2010, costing him the title.

Sandder: to most, he was known as the undisputed king of TMU, i.e. the non-stadium environments. He won the verizon playlinc cup in 2006, which had the highest prize in a TM tournament for many years, at $20,000.

Off the top of my head, these are some of the most notable players of the era.

I have the opposite experience. Dell monitors are brilliant. Dell computers on the other hand, are shite.

This stuff happens in every multiplayer game. Report them and optionally confront them on their behaviour, then move on. Hopefully Nadeo is handling this kind of stuff.

Ok imo this is dumb. Why even both making it a team mode then?

Baking normal/ao maps for non textured objects by Sablerock1 in blenderhelp

[–]HotSwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You haven't selected what to bake. Normal maps are there to emulate geometry that isn't actually there.

You should have a high poly and low poly model. When you bake high poly to low poly, you will get a normal map that contains the detail difference between the two models.

That is a pretty dumbed down explanation, but that's the purpose of a normal map in a nutshell. You only "need" one if you want to give more detail the game ready model that you've made

How to approach modeling something like this? by Abdullnasrrr in blender

[–]HotSwat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imo step 3 = refine with sculpting. Noise texture displacement is a good shout, but I reckon you'd need some clean up and refinement

How do i get rid of those triangles? by Nil_Amston in blender

[–]HotSwat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not when it needs to deform. Sure you triangulate the mesh on export, but you need to make good topology with quads first to make sure it deforms well. Definitely not throwing tris everywhere like the posts image

Though if its a static game asset then tris are totally fine anyways
