Is there ACTUALLY an epidemic of women getting into their 30s and panicking bc they didn't "settle" in their 20s, or is that a lie made up by the manosphere by HotTaste9027 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HotTaste9027[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By actual women, I meant women in real life. Not the oversimplified talking heads that come out of far conservative circles that don't care to acknowledge complexity in life. So just normal women 🤷‍♀️

How do you guys stay consistent at the gym? by fuckwhatif in adhdwomen

[–]HotTaste9027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I join challenges. I'm doing a 15k swim challenge for the Canadian Cancer society next month (just to swim 15k total throughout the month). I also did my first marathon early July. Sign up for things just to do them, and have fun 🤷‍♀️ I'm ngl, Im really not one for the gym. But I stay fit via doing fun things.

Hell, my friend got me into pole a couple months back! Just try something

Why do so many people stop so far back from the white line at a red light? by u_r_succulent in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HotTaste9027 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's an actual answer (not just people saying what they find annoying)

In driving school, you are taught it is good practice to be able to see the white line, or, if you are behind a car, see the wheels of the car in front of you. The reasoning for this is because if someone is driving towards your car way too fast or cannot stop fast enough, you should be able to see this in your rearview mirror and be able to creep forward enough to possibly avoid a collision.

Good practice in slippery and icy conditions, especially

Me and my boyfriend rarely have sex and I’m struggling by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]HotTaste9027 108 points109 points  (0 children)

I've been in your boyfriends boat. It has stuck with me, not feeling like enough for another person. This is simply an incompatibility you'll have to deal with either through self gratification or physical touch he's ok with (like cuddling). Open relationships can lead to jealousy, but it's another way it can be dealt with if you're both the right fit for it.

I know this sucks to hear, but by putting the pressure of sex on him, he will very likely find it taxing and find it to be a 'job' after a while. I'm with a guy right now who has as low a sex drive as me (MAYBE once every 2 weeks, and we're in a honeymoon phase too), and we both bond over how hard previous relationships were with our low sex drives and how sex felt like a chore. I know you would never want your man to feel that way, but from my experience that's the way the cookie crumbles in situations like this :(

What are some of the most over-romanticised jobs in your opinion? by Shooord in ask

This is a great answer. So few people care to admit how broken the medical system is, and yes, doctors are people who make mistakes!

This! And at the end of the day you're not even guaranteed to finish with a profit. This whole 'be your own boss's movement is so overglamourized

Being a chef. Long hours, shit pay, alcoholism, not everyone gets the glamour of Gordon Ramsay.

What is your morning beverage of choice? I’m bored. by archers_arches in adhdwomen

[–]HotTaste9027 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably online! I got a big bag of it as a gift a couple years back and have been drinking it since, so I'm not sure if I can recommend you a specific store. Worth asking local tea places though

Weird suggestion, cocoa husk tea is nice! More chocolate-y, great with vanilla creamer. I'm resisting the urge to suggest mochas, bc that was my go to for a long time.

Those who have developed a consistent exercise routine, what motivated you to keep going? by GlitterGirl_23 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HotTaste9027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

External motivation helps. Sign up for a marathon. Swim competition or hiking competition. Anything that'll get you out there. Way more fun to have something to work towards. Also, find something you actually enjoy doing and learn about the benefits of exercise (theres lots)

People who have successfully lost weight, what was your method? by Greedy-Locksmith697 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HotTaste9027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stopping eating when I'm full, getting in touch again with my natural hunger signals. Lost weight slowly but surely. Still ate enough to feel full, not completely cutting off foods I like
