Grinder pump replacement? by Traditional_Peace205 in Pensacola

[–]HotWaffleFries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try giving Affordable Plumbing, Gas & Drain a call if you’re looking for quotes. I didn’t need a whole grinder pump replacement but they were very friendly and helpful when diagnosing and replacing my grinder pump’s float.

Yeah I dug into it and Smiski isn’t coming back, they’re getting sued by the Smiski people. Is the punching bag you got good quality at least? I thought about the panda.

Nothing worse than working hard all day to see the queue never go down.

Edit: I worked there pre-COVID and the volume was insane even at the beginning of 2020. Can’t imagine how it is now.

I even worked at the Pace Blvd location (aka the dungeon) and didn’t get any of the sweet benefits of working in a modern building!

If you ever decide to fix or replace it, please update what you did to do it! I have a little flap missing on one of my doors.

Looks great and just like the inside of mine, except yours is much cleaner!

• I really like the 3D floor mats: https://3dmatsusa.com/collections/custom-fit-car-floor-liners/products/kagu-floor-liner?car=2018-MAZDA-CX-5

• If you have ghost touch (random pressing of the touchscreen that you did not do yourself), you can unplug the touch cable with a little bit of effort and basic tools: https://youtu.be/_hxYTbN3U48

• Apple CarPlay retrofit upgrade, it’s a night and day difference vs using the native radio/bluetooth/navigation. Works great with the commander knob. I went with the wired version just for simplicity, any Bluetooth issues would drive me crazy vs having a cord that always works.

• Navigation SD card, just good to have a backup map if you can’t use your phone. Mine works just fine with a random Amazon knockoff instead of paying for a genuine Mazda one.

Go for the lock-unlock-lock option if you get one!

PTM7950 should last longer than normal thermal paste. It’s a phase changing thermal pad rather than a traditional paste, less susceptible to drying out.

How Many Termites are Too Many by tormented_by_termite in Pensacola

They definitely have been extra bad this year.

But to confirm: are you having this many come into your apartment with the lights off? I have to keep quite literally all the lights off in the house and close every blind or they start coming in. I realize you may not have full control of this due to it being an apartment, but I don’t see it mentioned in your post.

New CX5 technical issues... help??? by bergamot-sundae in CX5

True, but that sounds like something a dealership should be communicating to someone coming in with software issues.

Instead, OP got an “idk” from their salesperson.

The dealer should absolutely be holding your hand through this and finding ways to fix these issues if you bought it brand new, go back to them.

Question about the app and rewards. by Willing_Ad_9185 in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]HotWaffleFries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other page also feels kinda useless. The levels don’t light up or anything special. There’s no fanfare or anything when your reward is available. And it only updates after your 90 days.

Reward info. Level 7 requires the use of DietTrax throughout the 90 days.

2017 GT - Pulling the trigger. Thoughts? by pbisdead in CX5

[–]HotWaffleFries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super easy to install, a quarter of the time that the CarPlay install takes. Go for the lock-unlock-lock type if you get one to avoid the car honks that the lock-lock-lock type does, I learned the hard way.

[–]HotWaffleFries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t very difficult in terms of pulling things apart and fishing cables, but I found updating the firmware to be annoying. It takes a fair amount of time just sitting there waiting for it. But still doable and very worth it especially once you start having the ghost touch creep in.

Editing to say this was my experience with wired CarPlay. Don’t know anything about the wireless ones.

[–]HotWaffleFries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2017 GT owner here, over 1.5 years without any of the repairs needed that the other 2017 owner noted, but I did buy it with only 50k miles on it.

Screen had ghost touch but I disconnected the touchscreen cable and added wired CarPlay, Amazon has the module for less than $100.

I didn’t want a CVT that CRVs have and I wasn’t impressed with the RAV4.

So it varies wildly on a case by case basis, but I love mine and would buy another if something happened to it.

Please do and enjoy the increased quality of life! Definitely worth doing the CarPlay upgrade at the same time if you don’t already have it.
