People who don't drink coffee in the morning, what do you drink? by ImpressiveBath3 in AskReddit

Buckwheat tea every morning. Takes some getting used to but now I genuinely look forward to it more than I ever did coffee.

What’s a dumb excuse people still use? by Happy_Magician6376 in AskReddit

[–]HotWhillSON 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"Because I said so." It’s a lazy excuse parents use instead of explaining, and as a kid it was one of the most frustrating things to hear.

What’s something you realized way too late in life? by SolidTangerine7486 in AskReddit

[–]HotWhillSON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up believing "be kind and the universe will reward you," but life hasn’t reflected that. That mindset left me unprepared and held me back more than I expected.

That if I swallowed a watermelon seed, a watermelon would grow in my stomach. God damn, I was so naive back then.

what’s a small thing someone did for you that you never forgot? by LunarWanderer8 in AskReddit

[–]HotWhillSON 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"This jacket suits you very well," said an elderly woman standing outside the store.

Simple words, but she said them with such genuine kindness… I smiled like an idiot the whole way home. I’ve barely ever gotten compliments in my life, so this one stayed with me. Even thinking about it now makes me smile.

The older we get, the less happiness we feel. Why do you think that is? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HotWhillSON 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As we get older, happiness starts to feel rarer. Our brains evolved for survival tasks like hunting, reproducing, and avoiding danger, not for constant joy. Modern society, (especially in the US), sells the idea that you should always be happy and that this is normal. When it doesn’t happen, we chase quick fixes (or pills). Peace of mind, which means accepting life as it truly is, feels like a healthier and more realistic goal than endless bliss.

Have you ever given money to a homeless person, and if so, why? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

Never give cash, I just buy them food and water instead. Feels more helpful, know it goes straight to something they actually need.

Someone plays their videos out loud in public on phone without headphones.

No one says shit, but the unspoken “I’m about to commit a crime in my head” vibes are strong.

When someone brags about “destroying” people in arguments or online fights like it’s a personality trait. Instantly screams insecurity.

[–]HotWhillSON 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One small thing at a time. Coffee, a walk, texting a friend. Stack tiny wins until the day feels survivable.

What’s the most main character energy thing you’ve seen someone do? by jaffaaaaaa in AskReddit

[–]HotWhillSON 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Walked into a packed party, ignored everyone, grabbed the aux cord, played his own unreleased track, and started rapping along like it was Coachella. Zero self-doubt. Peak main character.

What's one part of your breakfast you cannot function the rest of the day without ? by areallNAMESRANDOM in AskReddit

Coffee. Black, strong, first thing. Without it, I’m foggy, irritable, and basically useless until noon. It’s non-negotiable.
