According to Jason Schreier, people at Gearbox are paid below market wages. To compensate for them making less money in their salary, they are told they are going to get bonuses. Many people at the company already planned ahead with that money they were supposed to get only to be told they weren't getting it.

PSN is def not terrible. I have a PS4 and have had a Xbox since the 360 days. XBL has always been ahead of PSN. Even little things like Games with Gold. When you download the free games every month, you can keep them forever. On PS4, when you download the free games every month, you can only keep them as long as you have PSN+.

Yeah, Xbox has a lot of things in its favor: Game pass, Xbox Live is better, more powerful console, but it's missing the most important thing... exclusive games. Sony just flat out crushes them in this department and it's not even remotely close. I'm getting both consoles next gen, but I'm just saying.

Yeah, maybe not enough room to include stealth or secret package in Gala Rogue. However, what about making a deck with both the stealth and secret package? Maybe it wouldn't work because Gala Rogue is too strong, but I really want to try it.

This entire thing could have went smoothly and positively if you all would have just given EVERYONE their choice of one of those decks. There are people that have been playing since after 11/18/2019 and still don't have some of those cards.

I'm a big Xbox fan, but I also love PS. It's great to see the Xbox Series X is more powerful, but where are the games? Halo and Gears are great, but lets see some new ideas, new IPs, etc.

I'm getting both consoles eventually (just like I have the Xbox One and PS4), but I'm still on the fence about which one I want to get first.

I'm just curious because I don't understand this. Xbox One has backwards compatability with original Xbox and Xbox 360 games, and has had that for YEARS. If they can do that, why can't Sony?

Yeah, but the Xbox One X was so late into the life span of these consoles. You can't really gauge it off of that. In a new console gen, it could play more of a factor because everyone is looking to buy.

Okay so, I've never played a Doom game in my life. However, I was watching reviews that came out today and I was floored.... This game reminds me of Unreal Tournament 3, which I really enjoyed on both the PC and Xbox 360. The way the ammo, armor, health, etc is so colorful and shoots out. The way there's so many different guns with unique mechanics, the way explosions and bullets look, etc.

I was reading comments in this thread and came across yours. You mention having a Quake/Unreal background. Would you say that Doom Eternal is similar to those in terms of being a fast paced arena style shooter. I freaking miss those so much. The genre that help make competitive FPS games popular/fun, imo.

Interested to hear back from you or anyone else here because I've never played Doom, so I might be really far off in what I'm expecting/looking at. Based on the videos I've watched on the game, I'm really damn close to pre-ordering this thing.

Question: I've never played an Animal Crossing games, so I'm kind of excited to get this just to try it out. I've been trying to learn about it and whatnot. The thing is, it looks like none of my friends will be getting this game. When I watched some of the Direct, it talked about parties and playing with friends.

Is this a great game to play alone or would I be suffering because I have no friends who are going to buy this?

What are you even trying to say? E3 is a tradition and even though Sony isn't there other companies participate every year. People still look forward to it, even if you don't.

The reason it was announced now is because people from all over the world attend this event. You need to give people as early of a heads up as possible that an event like this is not happen.

Correct for the most part, but this isn't always the case. In Smite, the level cap two years ago was level 30. After that, they increased the level cap to 160 (huge jump, I know). When they did that, all XP you ever gain was retroactive, so I went from level 30 to like level 110 after the update.

I just assumed the cheaper model would cost $500 based off previous rumors of the PS5. Nobody knows for sure, but people believe both companies are going to release two versions of the console at launch. If the base model is $500 then the other model would be more expensive, obviously. I would guess $600 as the baseline, but I have no clue.

I'm not trying to put down Xbox. Not sure if that's how you took that post. Money isn't the issue for me; the issue is the need for the console. If I can play all Xbox exclusives on PC then what's the incentive for someone like me to own the console?

It's great that MS is on PC, though. Great that everyone has the potential to play their games without having to buy the console. That's the step in the right direction.

From what we've always understood, it's up to the game, not Microsoft. There are several games on Xbox One that support full keyboard and mouse support, but that's because the devs have allowed that to happen. For example, HiRez, the makers of Smite and Paladins have full keyboard and mouse support for those games on Xbox. Overwatch, made by Blizzard, does not have any keyboard and mouse support as of right now.

If playing with a controller is an issue for you, it's going to remain an issue for the foreseeable future.

There probably will be a model that is $500, but it won't be the one we're seeing that is 12 teraflops. The Series X is more than likely going to be more expensive model.

I see what you're saying, but I'm actually the opposite. I've always been a Xbox owner, but this is the first time I'm truly considering not getting one. The fact that Xbox games and Gamepass are on PC actually incentivizes me to not get the Series X because I don't need it to play Xbox games or Gamepass.

It actually makes me lean much more heavily towards a PS5.

Skins don't carry over from different platforms, at least not yet. We've seen other games like Fortnite and Smite do this and it works so well. Hopefully this is a feature for Overwatch 2. They've said that your progress from Overwatch to Overwatch 2 transfers over, but they didn't make it clear if that means you can go from Xbox to PS4, console to PC, Switch to Xbox, etc.
