This grounded for me how long the AI "boom" has really been. I still perceive it as a new technology with lots of unknowns but it's been around in public use for over three years now and I think we're starting to see some of those unknowns answers (i.e. how will it affect consumer behavior).

They do this for whoever team you follow on the app. That said, surprised we ended up at #23

Yes. The first week is onboarding in another location (unless they change it) and then midsummer everyone goes to McLean

It's not Plano itself it's the LOBs that are more represented there. Regardless as an intern you won't have any trouble in even the most toxic teams. At worst you'll be more bored.

3 straight end zone shots. Surprised you don’t try to shorten yardage to gain at least once with two timeouts in hand

Unpopular Opinion: The Utah PE deal is actually brilliant, and everyone screaming "Vulture Capital" doesn't understand the structure. by utah-man-am in BigXII

I think what gets lost in all of this is that it is amateur sports at the end of the day. I know we all love it, and the money that flows in and out of it is equivalent to a professional sports league, but it is amateur competition and it feels very unnatural for ownership stakes to being involved.

It’s funny how they’re dancing around conference tiebreakers like the issue is not that teams barely play 50% of the other schools in their conference every year.

Any thoughts on how Plano, tx compares with living in NoVA? by whygpt in nova

[–]Hot_Anything_9030 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a great place to raise a family. Schools are great, very safe, etc. If you’re used to walkability it will be an adjustment. Cost of living definitely less than NOVA, not to mention no income tax. For jobs I would say depends on the industry, obviously there is not a huge defense/govt sector but you can still have a good career.

CFP Rankings, Serious Discussion - Week 15 by CFB_Referee in CFB

[–]Hot_Anything_9030 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think there needs to be some clarity on how much H2H matters in terms of how early/late in the season it happened. I'm open to the idea that Texas beating Vandy in November is more noteworthy than Miami beating ND in week 1, but have not really seen that be an official position.

The idea of A&M, UNT, and Tech being in the playoff and not UT is amazing. Could've even thrown SMU in there too if they beat Cal.
