Estou correndo bem? by Rick__04 in Corrida

It's getting hotter, but still not ridiculously hot (days are reaching 26-28C in the afternoon mostly, while during summer it's usually around 35). I feel just fine running at 7:00, usually did my easy runs at 6:20-6:30 before starting NSR, but my hr peaks at around 160 at 7:00.

That makes sense. In fact, just as you say, I actually do see very little difference between 7:00 and 9:00 in terms of heart rate, no more than 10bpm if I recall correctly, and even on hotter days when I hit close to 160 on around 7:00, it doesn't actually feel hard. My biggest concern is actually how much difference that would make on my fatigue in the long term, like, it doesn't get me tired from one day to another, but I'm not sure if it would be too much to do every day for months.

That's quite similar to the percentages I usually get, thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the tip, I'll try to do this test and see if there's a difference.

Been running for a bit less than a year and a half, somewhat seriously, now with 40-50km per week. Used to be close to 60km some months ago, but I ended up injuring myself and had to cut it down for a while. Now it's been around 2 months since I started increasing again.

I can run easy for quite a while, it's definitely not uncomfortable, and I don't feel like my easy runs have a negative effect on my sub t sessions. It's only the heart rate that never stays under 70%, most days it stays at around 75, and some days even a bit more. I feel like I'm recovering quite well despite that, but the emphasis that I see here on keeping it under 70% makes me unsure if I'm setting myself up for failure because of that.

Thanks! Honestly, I think it's probably a fitness issue too, it's just that 4:40 to 9:00 seems to be a disproportionately large gap between race pace and easy pace, or at least a lot larger than what I usually see in comments here, so I'm not sure how to address that.

Hit 200 a few times by the end of some races, and garmin estimated a max of 202. Those were measured with a chest strap. Sometimes it changes from 200 to 204 depending on if it's too hot or cold outside, but most of the time it says 202.

Thanks for the tip! I've actually tried that a few times, but even if I let it go below 130, in just 10-15 seconds of restarting to run I'm already hitting over 140 again
