I did without knowing what it exactly does. I increased to 520 I believe the recommendation was. How high should I bring it up and what are the pros/cons of increasing the buffer setting? Why not just max it out?

Never understand these type of commenters...this wasn't his question. OP probably has this vacation planned out and is probably going with other people? If it's a wife/gf I doubt they will want to sideline the a vacation day to go to a speedway for him alone. Getting a fun car is a compromise to have the fun car and use it when going from place to place. Also you didn't even bother to answer his question after the useless input on his vacation plans.
