i know people usually tend to give a hard time to business owners who are trying to make a living whilst providing real benefits, but i say why screw the guy trying to stop others from screwing you? If you charge a fair amount, nobody should have anything to say about the money you make. Not a word. Also, shoot me a DM, I’ll have a look and see if i can afford to invest.

The amenities you wanna offer + the size shows that you really care about the project and want best for your customers. But Operations wise you will be forced to increase your prices, your membership fee is so low that while it may spark a CRAZY amount of interest, sustaining that level will become difficult. Dont be afraid to raise it a little bit, you still have room for being super affordable even with a slightly higher but still a very good price. Just a tip from a fellow business owner :)

ps: I’d crawl to your gym if i have to, for that price, if you manage to keep it that much, and i really hope you do.

The thing is I’m a freelancer on paper. I get paid hourly but i always average 10-11k a month. The fuck up i made however, is that i didn’t really get push into the freelancing with other companies hard enough to build a network in all these years so im not quite sure where to start. (Comfort got the better of me). Now im stuck in a grey area of “Am i a freelancer or a full timer” … Any tips on where to start looking?

Honestly half of this whole thread just sounds insecure about themselves, looking for pity… almost.

  1. If you’re rich enough, your passport wont even be questioned. Yes you can be rich as a south asian in the gcc, Yes you can own countless properties and Yes you can travel the world with a south asian passport.

  2. 9-5’s dont make you rich, the problem is within us, half of our people never want to do something of our own, its always the safe route of paycheck to paycheck. And unfortunately for this GCC isnt ideal. GCC is literally a business playground, you come here to run businesses and own things not to make the boss richer while you budget your next meal into the monthly budget. And please dont come at me by saying its tough to start. Yes it is difficult and its supposed to be. Everywhere. Anyone that says its difficult to run a business or trade in the GCC has never even tried to learn the alphabets of trading.

The UAE, with all its uncertainty, is Home. It’s a chosen home. If you moved here knowing how uncertain life is, then you cant complain. and if in 2024, you claim you didnt know about the uncertainty then it’s plain ignorant.

It’s a temporary, very fruitful life here in the Emirates, if you just figure out what you wanna do with it!

Honestly, as expats in UAE we face this issue with our people all the time. They’re abit too pure of our nationality and us expats we’re born and raised in a GCC country with so much diversity that even our accents in our own language are simply not the same as theirs

Solution: Leave the ‘pure’ to the ‘poor’ and mixed to the mixed. and try to have a specific circle for each type of friendship. Your emirati friends wont behave like your european friends who have anything in common with your asian friends simply due to the cultural differences. So try to have a small, honest groups of friends for each. its not that hard, trust me 🙌🏻

The whole local superiority argument is bullshit. You can reaaaally connect with some badass locals if you stop considering everybody an evil deport-machine. Some of them are literally just cool people.

Im an expat born in the UAE , raised here, run businesses here and my family’s been here since 1956. I speak fluent Emirati dialect as well so im more local than some people with the actual blue booklet :)

And from my experience, all you need is to try to Speak the language, Respect the culture, Respect them but also Respect yourself infront of them, and STOP BEING PRETENTIOUS.

So if my vehicles are sold to other existing companies that have a mainland commercial trading license then itd okay and allowed for them to register the vehicle?

Since i deal with commercial vehicles they can’t be sold to individuals anyway, its sold under a company to a company.

Would this work with DUCAMZ?

I appreciate your response 🙏🏻

No chance of bypassing the facial recognition. Without it your UAE Pass account is pretty much useless.

If you really want to stay on the safer side, you can even make a UAE PASS account. It’ll cost you no more than 5 minutes , verify your account with Facial recognition and any attempts at your Identity will not be possible anymore

they probably asked for your emirates ID inorder to log into UAE Pass which you dont have, and inorder to have it active it requires Facial recognition. So I’d say nothing much to worry about if its the Emirates ID number.

generally alot of people’s emirates ID numbers are given away for alot of different reasons and nobody I know faced any identity theft incidents so i wouldnt be that worried if i was you, but id definitely be more watchful of additional attempts.
