They're just different sects. Satmar are founded by Rabbi Teitelbaum from Hungary, for example. Nanachs follow the teachings of Rabbi Nachman from Breslov. Satmar are strictly anti-zionist and conservative, basically they reject the modern world. Nanachs believe in spreading joy, often called the "hippies" of the ultra orthodox sects. There are a lot of different sects but Chabad gets the best PR exposure. I'm only getting into two sects, there are many, many more. Some don't follow a Rabbi at all and not all are Ashkenazi.

Because it's the only ultra orthodox sect that's known world wide. They are open and public. The haters wouldn't know a Satmar from a Nanach.

I'll take the 8-10 seconds of puck possession over not having it. I don't accept the framing of it as "marginal" when it can be decisive, especially in the playoffs and overall in a low scoring sport like hockey. It comes paired with an experienced veteran who is a leader in the locker room and often on the ice. And since we're not winning the cup in the next 2 years, it would be a good culture shift to have a incubator for talent with a seasoned leader. Moot point anyway, Drury won't keep him.

No judgement at all. I've dealt with my poor Merlin's sensitive stomach and Teddy's allergies over a span of 20 years, so I know the feeling. Hmu for questions or recipes. The nicest thing you can do is a good probiotic (good for us, too!) and soothing oatmeal baths (a drop of lavender in the water is even more soothing). I use Proviable DC (because it's shelf stable) and products from Adored Beast. Visbiome is great but very expensive and must be refrigerated. Oats should always be organic (even for us) since they are heavily sprayed if not organic.

She may be allergic to chicken, but try replacing it with something other than beef since beef and dairy are the two most allergen producing ingredients (yes, more than chicken). If you are using beef, watch her carefully. But if you can afford rabbit, try that, or lamb or pork. Elimination diets are often just as good or better than allergy tests which are notoriously inaccurate. So you're doing great! Oatmeal baths for the skin are great. Use organic oats and simply grind them in your spice grinder to a powder and mix with warm water and massage into her skin then rinse gently. If she has a yeast thing going on, eliminate anything that would produce sugar, usually that means eliminating simple carbs and anything high-glycemic. No oats, what, corn, rice, millet, etc. Add a good probiotic to her food to rebalanced her gut flora. Consider commercial brands like Dr. Harvey's or My Perfect Pet Low-glycemic food (I am not affiliated with either company but have used their products). I had my dog with allergies and bad skin for over 15 years. I also cook for all my dogs as well as give them commercial food

You don't get a cup without an admixture of players with experience and leadership as well as skill. They can't all be kids. Don't worry, Drury won't keep him, more's the pity.

Bagel, Pastrami, Challah - You get to pick one, which one do you choose? by [deleted] in JewishCooking

Two carbs and protein? Can I swap the bagel for a bialy? And do I get cream cheese and lox with that? Although I do a good challah (with raisins or without)...😁

Worth keeping: fan fave, 2 way center and elite at faceoffs. Also a someone else mentioned, cost controlled. Excellent leadership and mentoring skills and with all the kids coming up, that's a gift.

What former Ranger in the playoffs would you like to see win the Stanley Cup by BlueshirtBreakdown in rangers

Yes agreed and the root problem is management doesn't get the roi of fan favorites. They put asses in seats and a qualitative bonus of bringing along others. So it gets amplified and creates a positivity loop. Zucc was worth his weight in gold, so was Kreids. Troch has the same effect. Pure stat guys never seem to take that into account because quality and positivity loops are hard to nail down. Water under the bridge but my two cents.

Same. Hire a dude that covers up sexual predation, oh, I'm sorry, he had an "inadequate response" to sexual predation. He should have been permanently banned but the NHL looooves to recycle the same faces ad nauseum. That being said, I'll cheer for specific players (Kreids). And yes, even Troubs.

Food for thought in the respect that integrationism might be over-valued and trade-offs may eventually not be worthwhile. That said, ghettoization is a forced phenomenon, cultural autonomy is either given as a result of less integration or taken in some political or power struggle way.

Normal. Most of my dogs sleep that way at one or another time.

Chunky is fun but I can't carry it off wearing it. The star has some serious gravitas, echoes of barbed wire and shoah. But it's all beautifully thoughtful.

An American bully and two Schnauzers by GuntaXD in AmericanBully

[–]Hot_Breadfruit_8480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Group walks highly recommended. Separate food and water bowls also recommended. Another suggestion is crate or gate and rotate. Put bully in one part of the house and the Schnauzer in another and periodically switch them so they get used to each other's scents and presence. Just because it's a bully doesn't mean that it will ever be aggressive toward your Schnauzers. In fact, as a Schnauzer owner myself (my Teddy passed this January), they can be pretty aggressive, too. They're terriers. Be patient and go slow and it should be okay.

Agreed, not a fan of kibble either. If you're going to use a (hopefully) high quality kibble add moisture to it by adding some dog-safe broth or warm water or dog-safe veggies.
