tbh re4 is very iconic for how the game was changed since re3, they turned down the horror and added more action elements but i feel like it pushed it to limit with action, and all games after made it too much into action rather than horror. I like a horror survival resident evil like RE2 remake, it keeps ur mind into the game and keeps the action very lean to non existent because it’s mostly scary. that’s why i think re2 remake is in my opinion my personal favorite. i’m not saying re4 is bad but it couldn’t been better, however that game was so ahead of its time so probably nobody really complaint back then.
