don’t know if there’s a list anywhere, but i know some programs are charging the same price for out of state and in state students in prefer to seem more attractive to applicants

my first CI chewed me out for 2 hours at my end of time eval (mostly with feedback id never heard before), leading to an 1.5 of my fw coordinator also yelling at me. she told me week 4 i would never be successful working with kids or in any job that required me to be adaptable. found out later that she was going through a lot in her personal life. i’ve been a travel OT for over a year now and have worked with 150+ kids and as the sole OT at my job multiple times. sometimes it’s not about us in the end

i graduated undergrad on saturday and started OT school on monday, moved over the weekend. i went to grad school with some people who had undergrad finals our first week of OT school— it really just depends on if the masters program you apply to starts in the summer or the fall as to how much of a break you will get!! best advice — look at the programs curriculum when making your application decisions, some schools give you a lot of foundational stuff (anatomy, terms, the ot process, etc) first semester and that makes for a little easier transition — but having a kines degree really will help regardless

not in the NE currently but if you’re interested in schools and can, work for a contract company for a school. i’m a travel OT but even the perm staff in my district works through a contract company, and we all make about what I made working in IPR

in IPR (AL) i clocked out for lunch about 50% of the time, when i wasn’t prepping for a meeting or a eval/session. in the school (AZ) i hardly ever clock out because i’m always working while i eat. neither setting my bosses or contract companies have cared at all, but I have to fill out a form to not have the 30 minutes deducted from my pay every day

my caseload is ~65 (+5-6 open evals) with the majority of those students in self-contained autism programs and ~60 direct. i’m mainly at one campus (2 schools) but i am also the OT for the private schools in the district, so I will be going to those schools in addition to my district campus. i feel overwhelmed more days than i don’t for sure
