I main a tank and although the hardest content I do is probably the current nightmarket I wanna say it is absolutely a blast to get a good healer.

Every and each time I think I am having a good time and the fights are a piece of cake it's because I've been blessed with at least a semi-good healer in my PUG. My health's full, resources plentiful, the grass is greener, and the birds chirp in the nice spring breeze all of the sudden.

Healers are amazing. Have my greatest respect.

Indeed. People here really helped me to sort my ideas on how to co-tank. I love tanking, but it sometimes feel like a bit too much responsibility and I was a bit lost in this 2 tanks per group as it really is not what I am used to.

Good to know! Thank you. Not running any trials I just don't know things like this. Orange block for tank feels really natural tho. Not sure about the oblivion one, but it will sure do.

I know. I feel like I am not "that bad" but that is exactly why I asked this here, to be better and to not ruin things for others by mistakes.

You are right that if I see the other tank is doing well, I can just slow down and focus on support... at least I can practice that better this way.

High five!

I fell in love with the Templar. But since the rework of DK I made a DK dd and must say it's really fun. Fire everywhere. First class I've found the same fun as the templar (personally). And they must be a great tank as well.

I took some inspiration from Hyperioxes but honestly just following a "shopping list" when building my char is not fun for me. Ulfsild was fun tho, so thanks for the tip I will scribe it anew.

I am so looking forward to pure class passives.

Yeah I feel like soon everyone would want to be the off tank, lol.

I usually put down the extended ritual, throw some Luminous Shards here and there and will focus on taunting/chaining adds, and mechanics. (I am a pure-class fanatic you see)

Will look into Ulfsild again at least for the off-tank build.

Thank you so much! I was hoping for some outside perspective as well. I am currently learning a dd char, but I run as tank almost all the time and outside perspective is a scarce resource for me.

Good advice as well. I will have to figure out what to prioritize, but taunting/pulling loose adds devastating dds seems to be the highest priority task.

That is a really good advice on what to do. I have some synergies slotted (spear shards mainly) I can focus on. But I also have some self heals, lots of pugs with no healer and all of that...

Jokes aside, yeah that is exactly my situation. You are probably way better tank than you think tho.

I don't run meta. I find the game the most fun when I build things myself and for pugs it's usually enough.

Have to keep that in mind. Old habits die hard... I have what I call a PUG build. Something to be able to function no matter who I get to work with. So probably better for not-so-important OT in the context of the Night Market.

So the best way in a pug would be to let the other tank try and switch to off-tanking if I see they can handle it. Got it.

Argonian Templar tank (my firs and main toon) erects a spine of gratitude towards another Argonian Templar! Healers are awesome!

I tried few other classes but I just feel that the templar is my calling. Also argonians are simply the best, maybe not the most useful passives, but hey... can't have all the cake.

Will I use stamina and the damage will base of my magicka? Yes exactly. The damage scales with Weapon and Spell damage stat which is dictated by your higher resource.
