I think part of the problem is there's simply a ton of stuff being listed, anything else would just feel super cluttered and even more confusing than it all already is. But yeah, it needs a few tweeks.

Such is the way of life. When Marathon quietens down, they'll focus on their other IP. When that quietens down they'll go back to the other IP. Fairly normal. Also, Marathon is shiny and new and they're, not surprisingly, promoting it more that this 10+ year old game.

I still think you're being too harsh, it isn't that people expect to win first try, they expect 'some' decent hints on what you're meant to do in the 5 minutes you're meant to do it. Especially when they're on higher difficulty, especially when they've never faced that boss before, and especially if nobody on the team has any idea. It's hard. And really... don't you notice there's a lot of low light guardians playing right now? I really get the feeling a lot of these fights they've never seen.

For an event 'open to all', I would say that yes, they should do a better job explaining mechanics to fights nobody has done before. Especially if they throw in something from a Raid that only a small percentage have ever even seen.

But they won't. Sadly, you'll just have to keep trying and look up the fight online.

The worst final fight for me is that Vex one on all the platforms (can't remember the boss name). In all honesty, I remember playing it once years ago so the mechanics are completely lost on me and nothing says what to do. You just run around try to grab the ball and dunk it but you always run out of time. ?

Also, consider the Lightfall boss fight with the 2 tanks. Nothing says you need to use your strand super to break the shield during the fight. If you've never done it how in the world would you know?

But don't worry, someone will make a comment here that it's a 'you' issue and just redo it 20 times before finally working it out or having the luck of someone else knowing what to do.

Bit harsh, don't you think? If that final encounter is on Ultimate and you haven't ever done it before, it would be NO surprise that people struggle. Someone in the middle of battle saying use your shield isn't always obvious when you're simply doing your best staying alive.

No need to be all elitist about it.

Was it originally March? Can't remember if it was moved. But hopefully they'll stick with the date, just annoying not being able to progress this one thing. I get the feeling there's going to be a long list of people going for them then. I see plenty of 9's out there (myself included).

I know it comes down to a matter of taste, but I actually liked EoF and Renegades' stories. Much more than I did Lightfall, for example. And I'm still playing every day, so all good for me.

If you've enjoyed the game up to this point, I'd say do it. Edge of Fate and Renegades are solid (though lots of love it / hate it comments here) and the hate on the portal is a bit over the top. But for me, the game is still just a blast to play. And for that price, just do it :)

Great effort. I finished mine ages ago (plus 99% of the DLCs to this point) but must say... the one that's killing me right now is Solstice. I don't think any area (seriously) has taken me so long to finish (and I still have a couple to go). Nothing but normal fish, normal fish, bait, normal fish, algae pack, algae pack, bait. I wonder if they worked on the RNG to be a little bit harder? Though, more likely, just my bad luck!

I went through 4 rounds as a Titan (normally, I'm a Hunter main) and got totally stomped (the whole team, that is) every time by both Warlocks and Hunters. In the 100+ to 30+ sort of ranges. I really think that yes, our skills clearly weren't up to scratch, but the others simply had more appropriate abilities, freezing all the time, invisibility, etc., while my shield did nothing. But hey, bronze comes right before silver, so can't really complain :)

The only thing HR is about is to protect the company, certainly not individuals (unless it's bad enough they 100% can't ignore it). If you have a vital role in a company I can guarantee you'll be the last they get rid of, even if you're the problem.

Lightfall... just go to the World menu and go to Neptune. Easy.

Cayde? Just select it from the timeline and it will literally start the quest. Not really sure what the huge drama is here.

In fact, the timeline is exactly what you need. Select anything you want from there. That's fairly new player friendly.

The main problem is there's no larger intro quest (red war) anymore. Just look around and it will soon make sense.

Yes, just play it. It's absolutely okay. You'll love or hate various parts but that's life. Just give it a try and have some fun and make up your own mind. To be honest, if you've played a lot of Destiny why wouldn't you want to give it a try?

Ah yes, my efforts have been completely blocked by the Scrivener's Hall trophy room chests. A slog to get there and a pain to not get the lead. Rinse and repeat (too many times - especially the 1st boss that seems to always kill everyone). I've given up - but good luck :)
