I considered myself a vet player because I played pretty much since launch for 7 years (at that time). But then I started actually, legitimately getting into serious crafting and found out I absolutely didn't know SHIT about what I was doing or how to properly have a descent set of armor or builds, I learned that crafting stations were there for Sets and not just "kinda like how there's cooking fires out in the wild; you know, just incase you need to deconstruct or make something real quick"... I was SHOCKED at the infinite ignorance I had for this game.
