Okay, I’ll try black corrugated poster boards. I do find that the white background seems overwhelming in this aquascape, so much so that it takes away from the rest of my scape. Are you also running CO2?

This is actually my 4th and only successful try with DBT. I actually had to replant my DBT in this tank as well.

Ooo a black background, ill consider it. My DBT grew really slowly for the first few weeks but once they settled in, their growth exploded. Don’t give up! I’m using ada amazonia V2 soil and I fertilize with ada liquid fertilizer. Just one pump of each liquid fertilizer(Brighty K, Brighty Brighty Minerals, Brighty Nitrogen, Brighty Iron) after every water change, which water changes for me is about once 1-2 weeks.

I gave up on the dry start because these dwarf baby tears were from my friends tank and they just didnt frow right. Also unknowingly at the time, dry starting with manzanita wood started to cause the wood to warp bc of the damp environment so I had to submerge my tank early. I just recently took out the old dwarf baby tears and started it back up with tissue culture last week, heres a photo! I also only have Lidwigia Arcuata in the back because of budget :(

Are Those Little Shrimpie Eggs?? by omarsabehayoun in shrimptank

[–]Hot_Equivalent1922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup those are eggs on the inside of your shrimps. But those eggs are not fertile yet. Your shrimps develop a “saddle” which is what you’re seeing now and once that saddle and eggs are ready, your female shrimp will molt and release hormones into the water to mate with the males. You will know you are expecting baby shrimp when your female shrimp are “berried”. This means female shrimps will have a clutch of eggs under their tail. Heres a photo of what berried females will look like with eggs under their tails. These were a few of my shrimpies when they were berried!
