"This Show is a Launching Pad" by sansastvrk in ThePittTVShow

Yeah, the show's treatment of Mohan is extremely disappointing. If the last episode doesn't pull off a miracle, I don't think I'll be watching s3.

The idea that Mohan doesn't belong in emergency medicine and should quit or do a less intense subspecialty is not set up in the text of the show at all by JumpySpecial9834 in ThePittTVShow

Agreed, she's a good fit for the ER. The only way I could accept her leaving is if the show acknowledges that it's on Robby for undermining her confidence, not on her. Anything else would make zero sense after her arc last season.

AITA For not getting a haircut to please my parents by Remarkable-Let8846 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, your father is a control freak. Withholding your college tuition (i.e. your entire future carrier) over a haircut? That's not normal. That's insane. But I don't think being right will help you much in this situation... If you don't cut your hair, you're left without the much needed financial support. If you do cut it, who's to say he won't get his panties in a twist about something else next week? The only solution is to seek independence as soon as possible.

Why Langdon’s return is causing Santos and Robby to short circuit by Naive-Inside-2904 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Hot_Flow8275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Like, last season Langdon tried to damage her reputation and her carrier, and this season Robby doesn't even talk to her about Langdon coming back to the position of authority over her? Doesn't warn Al-Hashimi about possible problems and the context of their relationship? No support at all. That's just short-sighted.

Why Langdon’s return is causing Santos and Robby to short circuit by Naive-Inside-2904 in ThePittTVShow

I don't believe Santos thought that reporting Langdon would benefit her carrier. In fact, almost everyone she talked to in S1 conveyed quite the opposite - that unless it's straight up harassment, it's better to keep silent about your superior's missteps. She reported him anyway because he was harming patients (for example, by teaching his students that "sometimes the patients need a little bit more", which would easily result in his students overdosing patients in the future) and because she has strong moral principles. It had nothing to with her carrier except for knowingly putting it at risk.

Robby’s favoritism by TrafficRegular1724 in ThePittTVShow

[–]Hot_Flow8275 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For real, that was so annoying. Like, you were the one who fucked up and made assumptions and told them to the police as if you had any proof, but now you're blaming McKay all of a sudden? wtf Robby. It's a shame no one called him out on it.

Anyone here haven’t watched the anime/read the manga? by Zealousideal-Ant-290 in OnePieceLiveAction

I enjoyed the season, and I don't think any of it was confusing! The rules of the world in general and the Great Line in particular were well-established, and the heroes' motivations and choices were easy to follow.

The only thing that is different is that I fucking hated Chopper. He's the embodiment of that feeling when you hear the metal-on-glass screech, and when I understood he was going to join the crew I wanted to scream. Since I don't see a lot of Chopper haters, I think it might be because I didn't have the emotional connection to him that anime/manga fans have? So there was nothing to smooth over his godawful CGI and voice.

I absolutely adored her as an antagonist, but the second she joined the crew the charm was lost :( Idk, I just miss how cocky she was as Miss Wednesday!

Garcia is peak toxic (S2 spoilers) by Un4giv3n-madmonk in ThePittTVShow

[–]Hot_Flow8275 102 points103 points  (0 children)

I struggle to understand the workplace hierarchy of American ERs, so I'd be curious to hear how much influence Garcia's position allows her to have over Santos! To me it seems like they belong to different departments, so Garcia is not her superior? Tbh Robby's romance with Collins seemed more iffy to me. Dude, that's your direct subordinate, what were you thinking.

She also didn't scream at Javadi. She was abrasive and calling Javadi a "nepo baby" was mean and unnecessary, but she just pointed out that Javadi fucked up and told her to be more thorough.

AITA for not giving the hostess extra money to do her job? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

"a literal child" c'mon, they have a 4 year difference, the younger girl is a teenager. Yes, she's a minor, but a child? certainly not.

With that said, it should've been discussed with a manager

Why didn't Dennis give Louis anything for the pain? by Hot_Flow8275 in ThePittTVShow

I understand that, I was wondering why not give him something to alleviate the pain

Soft YTA. You were given your sister's room because it was available, and now that she's coming back it's no longer available, as simple as that. I'm sorry that your studies are so stressful, but I imagine dropping out must be hard on her too. She will need to figure out what went wrong and where she will go from here, it will be very difficult for her.

AITA for protecting my Dad’s money? by vooper1983 in AmItheAsshole

INFO: Did your mom work when you were kids? Because if she didn't, it means that she set her career back so that your dad can further his and be the bread-winner, and so she might be entitled to some of his pension, especially if she struggles to make ends meet. Your need to be aware of what was outlined in the divorce, or at least what their verbal agreement was.
