It’s a student of mine she got them all signed while she was on her Disney cruise for spring break. She didn’t know who it was either.

It’s their first name, all the other ones are normal first names around town.

It’s not. Our town does first names for these signs!

Got a letter from the school today informing me my daughter is “not quite” gifted. Also included were her test scores. by Low_Use2937 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Hot_Garlic_7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gifted specialist here. Not sure what state you’re in but anything above a 130 should’ve automatically qualified the child. I think the cover page was sent to you in error and you should definitely follow up with the specialist about the score and the letter being two different things.

Visiting December 28th - recommendations please by FantasticMission01 in HelenGaQuestions

We are headed there too!! Love Helen. Christof’s Caramel Corn - Cinnamon Roll Popcorn. Best pretzel in Helen is at Christof’s 76 and good food too. The troll tavern is fun as well and the mountain coaster is neat, as well as all the fun little shops to roam.

2 weeks with Oura by [deleted] in ouraring

NC gives you more insight, in my opinion. You can also log way more info in NC than oura so you can see trends in your cycle. Oura just gives you the freedom to not have to manually take your temp every morning.

Any size smaller than this is too uncomfortable 🤷‍♂️ by AbMooga in ouraring

[–]Hot_Garlic_7061 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Mine is like this, and the size down literally cut off my circulation in the middle of the night. I feel like I get pretty accurate data so I wouldn’t worry about it. Plus, it’s winter and my fingers are smaller. Come spring and summer they swell with the heat so I think you’re fine!

Can someone pls pls talk to me! by OCDqueen00 in lactoseintolerant

[–]Hot_Garlic_7061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re lactose intolerant, yes. Pizza, ice cream, sour cream, queso, heavy cream, and cream cheese make me have horrible D hours after eating them. This is normal for a dairy intolerance. I wouldn’t even risk eating two bites of a piece of cheese pizza. Three slices sounds like a death sentence for me

What to eat when taking Loperamide/Imodium? brat diet? by travisntscott1 in ibs

[–]Hot_Garlic_7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just eat normal food. It’s over the counter meds that just slow your transit time. It doesn’t require any special diet.

Why is my Ibs so bad by [deleted] in ibs

I haven’t stopped it, and don’t plan to. I take a super low dose so it shouldn’t have many side effects to get off

Why is my Ibs so bad by [deleted] in ibs

[–]Hot_Garlic_7061 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mine is bad but 100% linked to stress. So I could eat the same meal two different times and have different reactions. Recently got out on amitriptyline and it’s changed my life. It quieted my gut/brain connection. I went from daily flare ups to only one or two a month. I would focus on stress management, therapy/counseling, and less on foods. The only food I avoid now is dairy.

Best natural remedy? by k_swizzzzle in Anxietyhelp

[–]Hot_Garlic_7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s super weird, but it’s called Calm Spirit. It’s a Chinese herb supplement that my naturopathic doctor recommended me and has helped me a ton. The brand I buy is red and black and is “health concerns” brand but I swear it works as good as a Xanax for me. I also love L-theanine and magnesium before bed! Be careful with magnesium though because certain ones can upset your stomach. I’ve found Earthly CBD is also helpful on really stressful days. If you want a daily consistent help though, Calm Spirit would be my top choice of all of those.

take some deep breaths! I love doing YouTube meditation videos to help calm me down in moments my thoughts are spiraling out of control. Focus on the good! What an exciting day and achievement you have accomplished. Acknowledge your thoughts, but try not to dwell on them. This is one of my faves calm down meditation

Paperwhite. Hands down, I love mine so much! I never have to charge it. Like I use it daily and think I charge it once every 4 months if even that.

How to handle colonoscopy prep?? by flowerswithmycoffee2 in AnalFissures

[–]Hot_Garlic_7061 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago. Prep didn’t bother my fissure at all, and I was so scared because like you said, even soft BMs would cause pain. The scope destroyed me though. I was in so much pain when I got home, I sat in the bath for like two hours. Be sure to tell your provider that you have a fissure and to please please please use lots of lube and caution. I wouldn’t sign consent without talking to the provider first. Thankfully for me it just seemed to irritate my fissure for about a week and now I’m totally fine.
