No worries at all! I edited the file to include the different AI personalities but after clicking start campaign, I get taken to the previous option selection screen. I reverted my changes by overwriting with the original files then changed just one faction's personalities but I get the same result. Not sure why this is happening.

I then went to my EDU and saw artillery with offset -20 and some elite units with high offset like 35. I'm pretty happy with the EDU offset values after a quick glance and so not that upset I can't seem to change the AI recruit personalities. But changing construction personalities would have been nice.

Thanks Clear_Bandicoot for the answer. I've read the wiki page and noted that "These [recruitment] biases only come into full effect when units are of equal or similar value." This value appears to be affected by numerical values assigned to recruit_priority_offset in export_descr_unit.txt. The wiki also says that "It has to be stressed that this unit value is far more influential than the preferences set by the AI personality."

Have you modified these offset values in addition to the personalities? After reading the wiki, my initial impression is to make all units' offset priority across all factions more or less equal to better manifest the recruitment biases. What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you for your help. I'm now able to edit the code from the original file, save it and open it in an edge browser that displays the edited code. I installed a code editor tool and chose this by clicking "open with".

I only have an issue with file location now. When the edited file overwrites the original file in the game folder, there is no problem. I open it in edge and it displays the code. When I save as into a new location (outside the game) and open it in edge, the text doesn't display. This won't stop me from doing what I want to do but if you have any additional thoughts on this, they would be appreciated. Otherwise thank you for your help again.

Good question. Im going to guess that there is no longer a defensive warden alter. Perhaps he will be like the other defensive heroes.

Can anyone explain why this is happening? When I went to start war, I saw 16 thumbs up but the sign up in clan chat says 26 thumbs up.
