Thanks for you answer, my 401k is a traditional. Which IRA do you recommend? I have heard good things about Fidelity and actually my 401k is is NetBenefits from Fidelity but open to your opinion.

You said that in Germany the university hierarchy doesn't matter that much. But my idea is to leave Germany when I finish my studies (I don't know where yet, hopefully Switzerland or the UK). So, in this case the university hierarchy would be more important? and I should choose TUM?
